    So

Coutinho and Allen giving the ball away
    Johnson Gash
Henderson appears to have been left in the changing room he's that anonymous. No wait I see him, he's giving the ball away too.

Rest of Defence and keeper doing well though!!!
    And winning!

Get Sterling on. Width, pace and a wide man who does all the defending he needs to do.

Harsh on Johnson. He's been pretty solid in defence.

  4. I thought he was doing alright but that could be because I'm used to seeing Cissokho there now <laugh>

we need to do what Chelsea did. After a poor first half came out and blitzed it, but I doubt if we will the way we are set up. Hendo and Coutinho might as well not have been there and Allen was just as bad. That leaves Gerrard as our midfield, I know he is good but come on

We should manage more possession. 4 midfielders yet can't pass the ball between them...

Not sure what Allen is supposed to be doing. Coutinho seems well out of sorts. After we scored we let them back into the game and they are now controlling the game. We need a period of dominance and another goal if we are to put this one to bed.

I get the impression that Allen and Henderson don't really get what they're meant to be doing, they often keep appearing in the same areas and one side of the field is left totally open as a result. We appear to be playing a diamond with Suarez and Sturridge both narrow up top, we don't have an out ball and we're dropping far too deep. Either Coutinho or Allen needs to be sacrificed for Sterling or Moses, give us some width and defensive cover then get Sturridge or Suarez on the opposite flank.

Johnson our best player so far, encouraging on his part.

  10. Having more isn't always a good thing. Southampton have three in there too so the midfield is congested.

And still, like with Swansea, there's a gap behind the midfield...

Coutinho hasn't done anything. Sterling on for him please.
Completely outplayed so far, so hope Rodgers sorts them out.

I'm watching on NBC (like to support our colonial cousins) at halftime they have been discussing Pardew and decided he has definetly lost his job. One of the studio pundits actually said

" when you put your head in some one else's face, that's called a headbutt" I'm so glad he was there to explain that !

  16. Walcott only does one touch football because that single touch causes his next injury

Well we simply have to do better than that.

Brendan needs to give them an absolute rocket.

This game is beyond huge for us.
