Actually Plymouth needed some money to try and stave of administration, they actually contacted us. They invited us to run an eye over the lad not realising we had already done so. On their website they said prior to our purchase that if he went to Saints it would be the best thing for him. So we did not poach him, pinch him, or cajole him. I have know idea if we would have made a bid anyway. I can say it was not immediately in our, plans but went along with Plymouth's own suggestion!!

Thats fair enough then I guess, but I don't agree with poaching young players if we make the 1st move, even if it is my club because I know it's not fair on the smaller clubs
Don't see the problem if you ask the club politely. The club doesn't have to accept. Tapping up is a different issue.
