Well WJ, I'll be amazed if he keeps his job. He lost his job at Southampton as he was sleeping with a players missus (allegedly).

I don't care about his job. If any fan did that, they'd be up in court - or if any of us did that at work, same result. Why should people in football be above the law? (with one exception - Druncan Ferguson got jailed for doing exactly the self same thing!).

Heard someone on the radio say that rumours abound in Newcastle that he got the long contract so he could pay back Ashley, who had paid off his debts. Something like that. No idea if there's any truth in it.

 

Anyone else thinking we should go with a midfield of

Byram----Murphy----Brown----Mowatt for next game.

Maybe Pugh or Aiyibi in for Mowatt, at least all of these players show composure on the ball and have the ability (other than Brown) to actually do something as well. Think Kebe and Stewart should be dropped (or maybe just Kebe, stewart shows something but still seems to lack a lot as well) and I've thought Austin should've been dropped a long time ago.

 

That would take us back to no width. I would stick with Stewart but drop Kebe forever in exchange for either Dom or Aiyibi (assuming he is any good).

Byram as long as he still has two working legs should be our first choice overlapping right back and Pelts should be on the dole.
