I'm fed up with Wenger's stuuborn ways wrt transfers and 70-minute game plan (he's never heard of the military adage about no combat plans survive commencement of the battle), and I too think the lack of quality in key areas will be the cause of failure. However, what does give me hope is that I believe the teams around us are capable of dropping points, so whilst I think we're unlikely to win, it will be an interesting end of season. Results like today's don't upset me too much - it happens to everyone, but the games itsekf the rivals have been our problem for last 5 years. We can't even beat United - that's how bad it really is.
Im sorry - 1) we didnt deserve anything. Crouch had a great chance and not sure who it was but they had that half volley blast that could have easily end up in back of net 2) wilshere cazorla rosicky podolski giroud all appalling. you cant have your whole front 5 playing like that and get anything 3) never a penalty - about half a metre away from the ball 4) the whining to the ref is completely pointless in this game - it winds up the stoke crowd, wastes time and then when a bad foul is committed like Adam's, just gets ignored because we've been whining the whole game about niggly stuff. 5) sometimes wenger is so annoying. hes done amazing things and will continue. but anyone can see without 1 of ox, ramsey or walcott we have nobody ready to go ahead of giroud. you cant score if you dont have runners! leaving subs till after 70 mins again cost us the game. not only did we only come alive after that but to punish us, goal was scored immediately after
You won the Fa Cup just a season after us, and the carling cup back in 2012, you really bragging about the carling cup in a season you ended in what, 7th? Even though we didn't win anything in 2012, ending in the top 4 was a far bigger achievement than your micky mouse cup triumph. Lol, I guess that's how low your standards have become, finishing mid table and being happy about the odd micky mouse cup, this is what all mid table teams strive for, congrats. comparing our past 8 years to yours, I still wouldn't trade it, you can have your carling cup you dumb ****ing idiot.
The difference is, when we lose our top players, we remain 4th, when Liverpool lose theirs, they jump down to 8th-7th and go missing for a few seasons. Once they lose Suarez, they will go tumbling down.
By the end of March we will know for sure if we have any chance at the title left or not. Our next 3 league fixtures are Spurs, Chelsea and City, within that time a few of the other big fixtures are played as well with Utd playing City, Liverpool playing Utd, Liverpool playing tottenham and Chelsea playing tottenham. If by the end of that period we are still within 5 points of the leaders we have a chance at the title. It's our hardest run of fixtures for the season and a win against one of City or Chelsea is probably needed.
You know you have no proper argument when you just have to repeat yourself like an idiot after your point was addressed. Again, enjoy your micky mouse cup and mid-table finishes, now that's truly sad, bragging about that. Anyways, what will this season be, your 23rd year running without a league success?
True I guess, but the people you get to replace aren't necessarily upto standard making some world class signings but not everything that you need. Arsene buys players like you buy clothes for children, expecting them to grow into them. Podolski, Cazorla and Ozil are examples of brilliant recent signings but Giroud as RVP's replacement isn't good enough.
Really because last 1 checked worst case scenario we are 4 points off 1st and we still have to play those guys? And last I checked we knocked you idiots out of the FA Cup to make the QFs. THAT'S LIVERPOOL's SEASON OVER.
Still better than anything your team have done, ;-), and our season isn't over yet, we still have a good shout in the cup. But AGAIN, for all our failures in February, we've still done more than your team, so what's that say about how **** Liverpool are? You're trying to put Arsenal down for failing and failing again in February, yet in all those failures, we remained in the top 4, and above you, while you were in mid-table, ;-), ah man you're one easy silly **** to deal with. Enjoy your 23rd year without a league, but hey, you're a liverpool fan, you're all about history, so no problems, you can just talk about how great it was winning 18 titles back in the day.
I wouldn't give it so big about Liverpool not winning the league yet, they look far more likely than us... I fancy them to beat both City and Chelsea at Anfield...
Yeah save the sledging till you know the outcome! Liverpool look streets ahead of Chelsea at the moment. City not sure - depends which team turns up.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: "It's a big worry to lose a game like that, it was a massive setback." Well at least he's not in denial
