Hate Pardew with a passion, hope he gets a good 10 game ban for it. Was he the one who pushed a linesman as well?
hahaha that excuse would hardly stand up in court would it, sounds like the man really needs to sort out his anger issues.
Dominating performance particularly 1st half against a side that looked like they hadn't won for a while. Pleased to see Deeney and Ranegie link up well. Another excellent performance from Tozser. Pretty comfortable at the back although Blackpool got through more 2nd half when we eased off. Strong home record which is good after the poor run under Zola. Only negative was maybe Belkaham but he is just coming back to fitness. As for Pardew - its not the first time he has got so aggressive with a player/official.
Great win for us today, even with Blackpool's form. Burnley did well n all. Good luck to Dyche hope he goes up. How good were we? How bad were Blackpool?
Blackpool were very, very poor, especially in the first half. Even so we did what we needed to, so well done to the 'Orns.
In his post -match comments Barry Ferguson sounded like he is ready to quit on the back of that result.
A great performance. The usual slightly annoying period of easing off the pedal early second half but then again we were 3 up and Blackpool were hopeless. A really encouraging partnership performance from Deeney and Ranegie and some good stuff in midfield from both Toszer and Murray. All in all an easy win and I now think it's a shame we aren't playing next week - there's a lot to be said for a bit of momentum - but at least we have Doncaster the following midweek.
Comments from Beppe taken from BBC - slightly worrying comment at the end. "I'm happy for Ranegie and also for Troy for the kind of goals they scored. They were very nice goals. "In the box it is very important to have physical qualities, but sometimes we need more agility in other games. "But don't only watch how tall a player is, but what is in their heart. For English football you need a bit heart and I hope Ranegie will have this. Today he scored two goals, but I'm not focused on their goals, I'm focused on their work. "I am very happy about Troy today. The fourth goal was really nice. I hope that he will have the opportunity to score these goals in a stadium wherever he will land, maybe this will be with Watford, maybe not."
Noticed that, if he top scores and they get a decent offer I'm sure it's in the plans to let him go if we do not go up, he deserves a shot at the prem whilst at his prime or maybe serie A
Blimey Blackpool were awful - they were lucky to get 0. Looks like Troy will be off at the end of the season - thats the Pozzo way - will get a good profit to replace him though unless Ranegie prooves to be his replacement. Maybe we'll buy Parc?
Agree with most of the comments above. Blackpool were indeed woeful and clearly hadn't done their homework. We have struggled against any side that presses in midfield and yet I think I'd have had time on the ball in that midfield yesterday. Murray and Toczer used the space well and Ranegie and Deeney enjoyed the better service. I'd like to see more pace down the left flank than we have at the moment (except when Anya swaps wings) and I though Angella looked less comfortable on the left of the back three than in the centre of it. Blackpool won a few headers in the box that they shouldn't have.
I just dont get this Deeney talk.... unless the head coach is flushing him out? I don't see him as a prem buy for another club....
His value will not be as high this season as last and nobody took a gamble on him then. So unless his contract has only a further season to run and he has indicated he wants to move on i see him staying.
