Leicester have all but secured promotion, with Burnley looking likely to go up with them Arsenal are out of the PL title race (on the evidence of today) Fulham, in all probability, are relegated. Leeds will almost certainly not make the play-offs this season. Luton Town will be playing in L2 next season
Unfortunately Stoke won but both West Ham & Hull lost. Can't remember being as nervous about a game as I am with the game against Aston Villa. Not usually a high scoring affair but so long as we get at least a draw that won't be too bad. Eventful day for some ex-Canaries - Chris Martin is sent off for Derby, Kamara scores for Bolton ([not absolutely sure if it's the same Kamara who played for us last season?), Shackell looks like he could be coming back to Prem with Burnley.
Nonsense, if Fulham hire and fire at least 2 more managers they may find one who fires them to safety! Bah! P.s. Arsenal started the season out of the title race, they only flattered to deceive for a short time.
Not an entirely unreasonable comment, although today is the first time they have looked truly terrible. I would accept that kind of 'flattered to deceive; from Norwich Until today, I thought they would push all the way to the final day, but now I think they will have to settle for 3rd or 4th. I dare not remark on the other comment
What an effort from Yeovil! 1-1 draw playing with 9 men for 18 mins, then 8 men for a further 9 and away from home. Reading must be kicking themselves 29 shot, 21 corners, 64% possession and still no win.
Yeah, but they will still probably go straight back down. A valiant effort for such a small club, a bit like Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Walsall, Crewe & Colchester when they all came up to the 2nd tier, although ultimately it was always going to end up in tears.
Good to see Luton looking likely to be back in the football league Have a soft spot for them Didn't realise kei kamara was at Bolton not Boro
I will even go as far as to say that the teams in 3rd - 6th in the Championship, will be the 4 teams in the play-offs. Wigan are starting to look good at last, and would be my bet to go up via the lottery.
Arsenal we're never going to win the league and the result today just underlines how poor they can be when the pressure is on! I have a real sneaky suspicion that Liverpool will surprise everyone!
I live with a Liverpool fan and he's been talking them up for weeks, I'm kind of having to start to agree now! They've got a huge March where I believe it's Man City, Spurs and Chelsea at Anfield, that'll be make or break for them. The Stoke win was the only cloud really today, as it lifts them out of the battle temporarily. I still think it'll be Fulham, Cardiff then Sunderland/WBA/Palace/Us. Everyone above that will be fine.
Looks like there is now just one relegation place to fight to avoid, as Cardiff are almost certainly doomed following their defeat at Tottenham. As Cardiff play Fulham next weekend, a draw should close the curtains for both of them.
