Too many points to pick up on so if I can just begin with your opening paragraph for now:

Are you suggesting that Dallas owes the Catholic Church an apology because they finally put their hands up to years of child abuse carried out by Catholic Priests? I just wanted to be clear on this before moving on.

He's called this one right though but the Catholic Church don't like the truth.

Will Peter be gunning for him next?

    Absolutely not.

I want to know if Lucy believes Dallas owes the Catholic Church an apology...... that's what it sounds like.

Once he replies then I can move on.

In the view of many Catholics Dallas owes the Pope an apology for sending that e-mail, however, that was not what I meant.

Peter Kearney led the calls for the investigation into Dallas,so why is Leckie having a go at Kearney? If Kearney was guilty of child abuse or indeed covering it up then Leckie may have had a point, Kearney did'nt so Leckie is simply pandering to people of a certain mindset by making luddicrous comparisons and indulging in nothing but snide point-scoring for reasons best known to himself. In actual fact Leckie knows fine well who wanted Dallas' head, however that would not fit in with his analogy so he simply uses a catch all statement about "Catholic Church Leaders".

The Catholic Church is responsible for the abuse, not Peter Kearney, Peter Kearney approached the SFA about Dallas, not the Catholic Church. Furthermore the "whole" RC faith is not guilty of abusing children, neither as far as I am aware are the RC in Church in Scotland, so for Leckie to suggest that "Catholic Church Leaders" (He means Kearney) are being hypocritical is simply laughable. Using his simplistic playground logic no German citizen would be alllowed to complain about modern day concentration camps and/or torture, ethnic cleansing etc.

I would not read Leckie's ramblings if you paid me, one of the reasons is because he writes a lot of ****e.

I didn't want another War and Peace - I just wanted a straightforward answer.

And I'm NOT interested in the "view of many Catholics" either.

I asked if YOU believe Dallas owes the Catholic Church an apology?

I think he does yes, seeing as how he was a senior emplyee of a high profile organisation and used their email to send the "joke". At the very least he owes the SFA an apology.

It happened months ago and was covered up by the SFA, it came into the public domain a few weeks ago and Dallas has still not apologised for any offense caused.............. at least Dougie McDonald eventually apologised.

The longer Dallas delays a public apology the worse it looks but he probably won't beacuse he like Leckie does not belive an apology is waranted because he has done nothing wrong.

In a day and age where Celtic F.C did NOTHING (and they did exactly that, including the stewards) to stop THAT banner being shown at their ground, should they apologise to all ex and serving members of the Armed Forces?

That's a seperate issue but suffice to say it was not Celtic FC who held up the banners, it was a ragtag collection of idealistic braindeads who the club have vowed to punish when caught. Give it time, i'm confident they will find them.

Celtic have apologised though even though they personally did nothing wrong, unlike Dallas.

Celtic have apologised and launched an investigation after supporters at their Parkhead ground unfurled a huge banner describing the remembrance poppy as ‘bloodstained’.

‘The actions of this small minority have no place at Celtic Park. We are currently investigating the matter and, clearly, we apologise for any offence caused.’

But Celtic supporters seem to be clamouring for Shug to directly apologise to the Catholic Church?

I don't see Celtic F.C apologising directly to ex and serving members of the Armed Forces? I wonder why that is, eh? The Ghreen (Seat) Brigade and others would go ballistic, that is why.

Who is calling on Dallas to apologise? Not me and not certainly no one I know, however as I said it's no surprise that the arrogant prick has not apologised even though an apology is due. People seem to be caught up in minor details with this e-mail, does anyone honestly think that Muslims would not have called for Dallas' head (figuratively) had he forwarded an offensive joke about Allah?

RE Celtic Fc and the apology: By saying "we apologise for any offence caused" Celtic Fc are apologising to EVERYONE who was offended (including Ex and serving Servicemen) if they had simply apologised to all Ex and serving Servicemen then i'm sure people with an axe to grind would have said "we are not Servicemen, where's our apology?".

As I said, Dallas is yet to apologise to ANYONE, Roman Catholics, the RC Church in Scotland and the Pope I fear will have a very long wait before Dallas admits that he may have done any wrong, very much in the same way he ran the Referee development organisation and in a similarly arrogant dismissal of any criticism he received as a Ref.

    1: Has Dallas done wrong?
2: When you do something wrong should you apologise?

The answer to both questions is "Yes" yet we are still wating on any sign of an apology.
