Wow, that's gotta hurt. Ultimate sacrifice? Good on the lad.

I can think of a few cup final 'gestures' myself, but they're not as honourable as this lad's. <laugh>

Genuinely good luck to the Mackems. <ok>. As painful as it is, I'd much rather see local rivals lift the cup having fought hard for it, than the usual money machine dictating what 'success' looks like. So, through partly gritted teeth I genuinely say "good luck Sunderland". <ok>

His dad brought him up watching Sunderland and he changed his stripes. he is probably doing this out of the hurt he caused his dad when he was alive. However, I may have had a little respect for what he has done if he had never thought to inform the local TV and Newspapers to get his ugly mug all over the place, so for that reason I have no respect whatsoever for him, and it is a disgrace that he has got a ticket when genuine supporters that I know can't get one..

I'm certainly not little or vindictive dear boy..However, it is my opinion that this bloke is a publicity seeking fraud who should not be taking up a genuine fans seat, and if you disagree with my opinion you are certainly welcome to voice your own.
PS.. I saw the full story and the interview on TV which led me to this conclusion.

So long as the 'genuine' fans you refer to are ones who actually go to regular games and not just cup finals, then maybe it's a fair point. But then his dad already had the ticket, so it was taken. If he'd sold it, he would have been accused of cashing in and making a profit from father's death.

would you say the same about one of your own supporters that hardly goes to a game
yet manages to get tickets to go to the final
but contributes to Newcastle economically rather than the sh!thole thats Sunderland

yes stand up that great fan of Sunderland Steve(orange tan) Cram

You are entitled to your opinion fella, it's as valid as the next blokes.
I would suspect his pops had a ticket, and it's that which the lad is using though.
We also don't know who informed the press TBH.
Until the age of 8 I was brought up a Mackem and this is exactly what I'd do if my dad had a ticket... as much as it would hurt to pull on the shirt.

I know a few fans round our way who haven't been to see SAFC for a couple of years who now have tickets. I rip the piss out of them big time about not standing too close to fires etc...

Albert, if it was your Lads at Wembley I'd say 50% of Sunderland fans would want them to win, any of our teams at Wembley is great for the North East. Not be long and you lads will be there and on the day me and many others would be rooting for Newcastle.
Get behind the region and enjoy the day tomorrow, we win ,great, we lose you take the piss ! Either way, you'll enjoy it .

I would agree with this, except for the fact that all the mackems would become so smug and up themselves about winning a cup that I want them to get absolutely battered...

Obi - don't be tempted by the dark side. This is how it starts, pity. Good luck my arse, we should be wishing them nothing but heartache and pain. Same as they would us. The natural order should not be ****ed with.

I'd have to steep myself in disenfectant for a week if I had to put on a Sunderland top. Even then I wouldn't consider myself clean.

They're all coming out of their little holes in the skirting board, just like they did in 1973.

Personally I hope you gt hammered tomorrow and I can't understand any Newcastle fan that would want you to win.
