Dont think we will see much of Paynter next year <ok>

We wont be resigned to be playing 541 so no need for the big man as becchio will be doing that role in a 442 with mccormack/somma

Cant we turn Paynter into a CB? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Lets turn paynter into a decorater! He could give elland road a good lick a paint and maybe some fancy wallpaper with flowers and birds. Maybe throw in 96 photos of his 96 goalscoring moments. Why dont we change his name to Trigger! Be our own local hero.

I reckon we'll have Becchio, Gradel, Somma and McCormack on double figures next season. I think Becchio and McCormack up front will be deadly. If we are going to move to a 4-4-2 I don't see Howson getting nearly as many but the wingers will still be important and causing hassle all over the park. Gradel is too good in front of goal to not get another 10 at least.

I think your right. I think somma needs to concentrate on game time as oppose to goals.
Match experience is vital for a player like him. I say loan him out to AFC Wimbledon

    Gradel - 9
    Snodgrass - 8

Y wld I get grumpy? im not a wum, I just asked a simple question. I think Somma shd go to Yeovil for match fitness, could also be Tresor Kandol's under study

I am amazed you put paynter down for 4 the guy is a mule, when grayson stuck him up front on his own in that awfull formation it all went wrong if he keeps doing it we are doomed before we start

That awful formation that took us to second in the League and had us top-scorers until the last week of the season? <whistle>

I'm unsure about which formation would be better. The 4-3-3 got the best out of Gradel and Howson, but obviously left good players like McCormack and Somma under used. Paytner only scored once, but he looked a better player when he played up top with McCormack. It depends what Grayson sets out to do. If we play only 1 up top, then he should look to move atleast Paytner on.

I do reckon he'll play 4-4-2 though, because after our poor end of season form, he switched back to 2 up front and we won both our last 2 games. Becchio and McCormack will start as our first choice strikers IMO and will probably reach 15+ goals each. Somma will get over 10 again, maybe more depending on opportunites.
