The way I see it, when Marcus bought the club he thought he could buy his way to the prem and spent a lot of money trying to achieve it. When this didn't work he lessened his level of funding. He didn't get a return on his investment and changed his strategy. Whilst everyone is complaining about the current lack of available money I think that we will see a softening of his hard line stance in the summer when he realises we are actually doing much better than at any other time since he's been here. Last summers 'investment' was to clear out high earning, under performing players and get back to a sustainable amount of wages, and it was in my opinion a good move. It's very easy for us to continually moan about lack of investment after each poor result but there are only two windows per season for him to make his statement financially. Let's wait and see what the next window brings before we try and hound him out of the club.
I am glad you all know exactly what is going on and what has gone on at the club, i take it you all have the accounts etc to look over or are you all actually guessing? Just a genuine question, does anyone actually know 100% what is going on with the finances/debts etc, if not do you not think it is a tad stupid getting worked up over something you know nothing about!!
I have to agree with some of what you say Spanish............but its ok to speculate/Guess as to whats going on and to share those opinions but as you say nobody here knows 100% the details of the financials but likewise nobody here knows 100% why Nouble plays, why Taylor Doesnt, if Cresswell will leave, What Micks plans are, How much transfer kitty is available, Why Hewitt was loaned out and so on and so forth.......thats why it is about opinion and not worthy of getting worked up and abusive when your opinion is different from others.
Who's getting worked up ?We're just discussing stuff and expressing an opinion or is that not allowed General Franco?
big al, before you start calling people Franco i think you had better have a read about the guy, thats as bad as calling people Hitler!! Oh and in answer to your question, WARKY!!!
You are forgetting, Warky hates Evans so much that he would happily see us go bankrupt and start again if it meant ME was no longer our owner!! I would call that getting worked up, at the end of the day you are all discussing something you do not have the first clue about as none of us know what goes on behind closed doors, like the criticism of ticket sales etc but obviously plans were going on to try to bring fans back!! We can discuss the football as it is something we can see (sometimes, granted) I am not saying dont discuss thoughts but some on here are stating alleged facts which are actually only guess work, especially when someone says that had MM had a few more quid to invest then we would be there or there abouts, he may have spunked it on ten Noubles!!
Bigal Franco murdered about 2 million people, here is just a small example However, there were others, perhaps another 50,000, who were killed without even the simulacrum of a trial. Some were thrown alive from cliffs into the sea, or from high bridges into deep rivers…As an example, between July 1936 and December 1937, near the village of Concud in the province of Teruel, into Los pozos de Caudé, a pit six feet wide and 250 feet deep, were hurled the bodies of 1005 men and women, including adolescent boys and girls. Few of them were political militants. Their crime was simply to be considered critical of the military coup, related to someone who had fled, to have a radio or to have read liberal newspapers before the war. Not really me, i just give verbals, not ruthlessly murder millions!!
as you can find them on the internet then YES you can read them! http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/resources/Ipswich Town FC 30 June 2011.pdf couple of years old now, but ITFC published accounts 2011 -section 18 debts owed to various ME organisations. Also a nice comparison with the previous year, showing 8m extra that we owed mainly to our dear owner in 1 financial year. I think more recent figures have been made available and a current debt level of 80m+ is often mentioned so things appear to be moving in the same direction still. Now I admit that I have NO idea if he will ever call that debt in or hold a potential new owner to paying it but if you can see a positive in those figures your a better man than me!
What are you on about Westlake? Wages for Gio for a few weeks? Where is the Walters transfer? This is nonsense... the information is all online here if you can be bothered to retrieve it: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/i..._677_2009_default_default_alle_a_default.html
No, you was being an ignorant prick!! I have friends who lived in terror and lost family members to that evil dictator!
WTF are you on about you clown, i state facts and you make things up, yet you accuse me of being on the rioja, priceless!! Actually, i am on the fino today, don't expect you to know what that is though!!
Anyhoo getting back to the OP Magilton spent Millions and got nowhere Keane spent Millions and got nowhere Jewell spent Millions and got nowhere Mick has spent 45k and has got us to the fringes of the playoffs
Has the season finished yet? Not as far as i know, although for us i fear it has, unless we have to battle against relegation (highly unlikely) Before you start spouting off about where MM has taken us, wait and make sure we do end up on the fringes of the playoffs!!
