Sounds good, but I cannot see Wenger signing a 30 year old striker.

Yeah Probably. But it would be worth it! Subotic would be an absolutely great signing. also Eto'o could be brought in for the money we get for Bendtner. (around £10-12 Million)

Admitedly its not cheap and no signings can guarantee success but I think our current squad is pretty good.(particularly our midfield) Add some physicality with Cahill and Subotic and some experience with Eto'o and I think we would be pretty damn close.

So say they cost us £35M ..thats recouped just getting one stage further than last year in the Champions League through TV revenue. Winning the league of course generates alot of money (£50-70 Million?) through commercial revenue also.

    Its all hypethetical though...

Sorry to tell you this but Hummells is much better than Subotic.

This is the man who signed a 31 year old Silvestre. Anything is possible.

I dont think so. Thats currently the case but with another 3 additions our squad would easily be strong enough (its not far aways as it is and Ramsey should give us an extra midfield alternative this year)

Hypethetically if we signed Eto'o, Subotic and Cahill....

This could be our starting 11:

    -----------------Sczezney---------------
    Sagna----Cahill------Subotic----Vermaelen
    Walcott----Wilshere----Fabregas----Nasri
    --------------VanPersie
    -------------------Eto'o

    and we would STILL have:

    Arshavin
    Song
    Chamakh
    Koscielney/Djourou
    Ramsey
    Diaby

on the bench. Thats pretty strong IMO.

What's wrong with Chamakh and Djourou? If we sign another CB, Djourou is likely to be 4th choice. I don't know about you, but I think Djourou is good enough to be a 4th choice CB for a team challenging for the title.

Errmmm No they're about equal. Dortmund have fantastic defence.

Hummels is a bit more of a technical defender while Subotic is a bit more physical.

We need a proper squad with 2 class players competing for each position

This is where we always falter, a couple of injuries and we are suddenly fielding a guy who couldn't get into a French second division side
