On Player, Mauricio was asked if the players showed a good reaction in training to the loss at West Ham. Just then, David Salas knocked over and caught a microphone...Ah, good reaction, said Mauricio laughing. :)

This will probably come back to haunt me, but i'm always surprised by the overall negative pre-game vibes and concerns about us getting tanked by a team. Other than Chelsea, we have been the equal or better of every team we've played in the overall context of games.
Liverpool are a dangerous team on good form, but our midfield should never be underestimated. Suarez has improved on last season, but I remember him being pretty frustrated and isolated last season. If we don't allow Gerrard time to dictate play then i'm sure we can pick something up. I'm sure a lot of Liverpool fans would take a point now

As ever, Betfair implied odds to suggest what the balance of money is suggesting:

    28% Saints Win
    46% Liverpool Win
    26% Draw

Bizarrely, and for the first time I think I've seen it, the most likely predicted score is for one or other team to score more than three goals.

They've given the cover of tomorrow's programme over to Rickie, as it's Liverpool. :)

I'd love to see Gaston tear up their defence. On the topic of Gaston, what does everyone think of it as a name?

Slightly different question, but one I've asked myself before. I think it's a pretty cool name. Gaston Ramirez is a good name.

Depends. With a Spanish surname, good. With a French surname, snooty.

I need a volunteer to shout "That's embarrassing ref" please in my absence from the game today. Yes, I'm a plastic. It's only Liverpool and so I thought I'd miss this one and go to a meeting at HQ in the US. A nice jolly as its -17 out there at the moment :(

It's Gastón, which meas it's not pronounced the way everyone seems to. Emphasis on the second syllable.
