Hatem Ben Arfa and Davide Santon will be missing from the Newcastle squad as Alan Pardew's men head for 'ull on Saturday. Midfielder Ben Arfa (unspecified knock) and full-back Santon (knee) both missed last weekend's 1-0 Premier League victory over Aston Villa and will sit out once again at the KC Stadium.

Central defender Fabricio Coloccini and midfielder Cheick Tiote suffered no ill-effects on their respective returns from injury, while midfielder Sylvain Marveaux will have to wait to see if he is included after apparently falling out of favour.


'ull welcome back strike duo Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic for the visit of Newcastle after they missed the FA Cup replay win over Brighton.

The pair were both cup-tied for Monday's 2-1 victory, but are expected to go straight back into the starting XI against Newcastle.

Defender Paul McShane is a long-term absentee for Steve Bruce's side, while Robbie Brady remains sidelined with a groin injury.

Allan McGregor, Tom Huddlestone, Liam Rosenior and Alex Bruce are all expected to play after being named on the bench against Brighton.
