Rumour mill suggesting Rodwell could be next in on loan. Would be another fantastic signing and cure a lot of our midfield problems surely

There is no way we would pull that off, his wages would be inflated way too much. Wickham and Butland are decent signings but the difference is they are still championship standard with the potential to go higher

Depends on how much of his wages we'd have to meet. 10k a week may be enough with city paying the balance 10k a week for say 10 weeks is probably not a fortune to me cellino

On one level Rodwell would be an awesome signing, even as a loanee. And the wages are a surmountable problem. Everton just need to make a major contribution. The far bigger problem is why would Everton wish to loan Rodwell out in the first place, & to a championship side at that? Really can't see this happening, but fabulous if it did.

Rodwell bought from Everton by Man City guys. His wages won't be a problem because City will pay as he isn't going to start for them and they will want him playing. Send us Richards as well please and play him in midfield ....

I really doubt city will just be giving away their players, regardless how rich they are

I'd forgotton that he was now at Man City. In that case and noting the wages issue, this just might be dooable.

Rodwell was out for a long while through injury, this would be an ideal time for Citeh to loan him out in preparation for next season seeing as their CL campaign is over and the LC Final is on Sunday so their squad will cope without him for the last two months
