This is more like the player we want to sign. I'm geussing Mick will either play him on the wing or as a support striker (I'd hope Taylor would've got that role though), can't see Mick playing him centrally he's too creative and attacking.

Saying I'm pleased we've actually signed some quality but on the minus side like alot of others have said it seems just like a short term thing to me, so then why not rather than bringing in all these loans actually give some of our youngsters or fringe players a chance?? I mean what was the point of the Wordsworth signing, I was fairly surprised that Mick signed him tbh, it actually made me think Mick had changed his spots but clearly not

Ok, I'll give Marcus Evans some credit here. Well done. Thanks for stumping up a loan fee/ wages/ whatever etc to get this lad here.

However, I think the point Warky is trying to make, and I agree with him 100% here, is Mick has very very limited restraints to work under.

What happened last summer? A squad of freebies put together ( granted wages/signing on fees ) and one transfer fee on a young lad who has gone back to Ireland on loan.....!

Evans has hardly given McCarthy the backing he gave Magilton ( Norris et el ), Keane ( Priskin et el ) and Keane ( Leadbitter/ Edwards et el )

If people want to slate McCarthy, I have no issue with that whatsoever. Anyone is open to criticism, and rightly so. However, McCarthy is clearly working in a very difficult situation. Our first good half a season since god knows when, we really needed a bit of class ( granted SEB a good signing but he won't be of any use for a while ) - Where was Evans then?!?!?
