It's pretty poor to play a half at home and not make their keeper make a save. And this is the thing RWAEB we are not a bad team just not a particularly good one. We are quite average, a team that can grind a result out and when you have a world class player in your team you can get over the line.
To get through a well organised packed defence, you need guile, subtlety, or plain **** luck - none of which we currently possess!..
No not great but plenty of time. Should be more time of course, a team should not be encouraged to time waste by only giving one minute extra. Never seen so many players claim to have been hit in the head.
Extremely frustrating first half performance. No width, no creativity in the centre and a ref that should've gone to Specsavers and bought a new watch. Lots of unpunished timewasting and unnecessary face holding from Dnipro and virtually nothing worth talking about from us. I'd look to take off one of our central midfielders and get Lennon on at half-time. Drop Eriksen into the middle, stick Townsend down the left and at least try and score. It'll leave us a little light, but if we don't get a goal then we're out, so it's a risk that we need to take.
I agree PNP. Let's go attacking straight away. I'd rather go out at least having a real go rather than leave it for the last 20 minutes. I'd be tempted to replace Sandro with Paulinho as well just to ensure he doesn't get sent off.
Poor in MF. Eriksen cannot get time on the ball. Dembele is not carrying forward. Townsend is road-blocked.
Yeah, that's about right. Especially without Walker and Rose to provide wide threats, we aren't good enough to get it through a packed defense. To be fair, aside from the assorted diving and time wasting, Dnipro deserve credit for having a sensible plan and executing it energetically. I agree with the Lennon on the right, Townsend on the left move to give us some width, and for that matter bringing in Paulinho. The first twenty minutes were a little better--we just missed getting someone in on goal a couple of times.
This Utd fan I know, season ticket holder, also went to youth games, Was laughing at us when we '' poached '' Fryers and all the media rubbish between fergie and Levy, as he knew Fryers was utterly hopeless and Levy only signed him thinking he could get one up on fergie.
Fryers makes Naughton look like a world class centre back. I know Benny massively divides opinion on here but no one can say he is a worse option than Fryers, not even you Tots!!
