I love Hollister polo's for dossing about, £30, look class, Hugo are obviously the kings, but Perry's do the job like, as long as they are fitted, the standard fit have no shape at all.

Used to live in Ralph Lauren polo's but about 2 year back something changed in the material, and they wash **** now, they used to last 2-3 years of heavy use.

Neither do I! <laugh> I'm a Mod at heart so love my Fred perry and my Ben Sherman. Shame what's happened to Ben Sherman. Gone right down the pan. But it's lack of popularity has lowered the price considerably.

When I'm not Modding it up I love Aquascutum, Stone Island and Ralf Lauren. Can't afford them these days but the stuff is timeless. I've got clobber that's 10 years old and still looks spanking new. I've reaped the rewards of manic spending when I used to have money.

Mate there's a Ralph Lauren outlet near York, and a Hugo one, the Hugo ain't really much cheaper, but the Ralphy one, I got 3 polo's last year, custom fit, white, sky & pink (I don't care I like pink polo's) for FIFTEEN each, £75 same tops in Frazers.

Got a £60 scalf for £8, and a grey big horse hoody, £120 high street, for £45 Can be hit or miss, but on a good day, it's a ****ing dream

    Madness.

Flannels in town has shut down now, here in Manchester. It's a couple of hundred yards away from Harvey Nicks and Selfridges so it was never going to thrive, but the clobber was just dated tat, that's how it ended up being binned here, I got stared at in there by a gimpy assistant in a £200 suit as if he was some blue blood and I was a pigeon cos I was in my slacks, a Balmain hoody that probably cost more than everything he owned.

Nowadays if any of them ****s in Selfridges or Harvey Nicks throw me the 'You're not rich enough to shop here' look, I tell them to go get me some water... a trick I inherited off the father in law, they can't refuse and they end up feeling two inches tall.

There was a program on the goggle box a few weeks back where it was exposed that the clobber that outlets sell are simply made more cheaply! It actually singled out Ralph Lauren outlets! Ralphie produces some clothing specifically for outlets, most of the clothing is not of the same quality that they sell in the proper stores, although to the untrained eye they may look the same! In general you are basically getting what you pay for! Doesn't stop me going though mind! I was just down there a few weeks back! Its still decent quality!
