Red <laugh><ok>..Bleu D'Auvergne they told me.

I thought Enright almost took the wrong course heading to the first up the back..had to jink slightly in off the hurdle course at the last moment.

ATR didn't comment strangely..not a major incident but it could have been...very easy winner alright.

Won easily Red after travelling so easily behind the favourites.

Was 9lb wrong with RL and 7lb wrong with the second but hacked up by 6l on his 29th carrer start...these small field conditions events are punting quicksand imo.

Someone flew Jamie all the way over to Meydan to have him hold his horse up and come too late, Trade storm another unlucky loser, surely anyone in Meydan could have done that.

cheers lads--and Attivo-- i didn't back TLM-usually do but not today--mick appleby has to be one of the most underrated yet consistent trainers in the game -especially the quality of animal he usually deals with--can't think when he last had a barren 'spell' !

    Did you back it ??

Its not a great stat for the ex assistant of the forums favourite trainer is it Barney. Regular readers will know that a certain brash Scotsman had laid me a 1000-1 for a tenner on him having a Festival winner this year. He has several handicappers that are still not fully exposed if the ground is right and the gorgeous PENDRA will finally get a trip and has been the subject of a few JP punts already it seems. Also has one that ran RED SHERLOCK pretty close held back for a crack at the bumper! It will be an interesting festival for Mr Longsdon but the stats are certainly against him.
