I don't think the national media (nor woy) know Davies exists...if they do they automatically think he's ****, and not statistically England's best centre back. He's class.

Plus if he's taking Smalling because he can cover right back as well as centre half he might as well have taken Rosenior (or Clyne amongst others) as well as Davies.

Caulker is a good player in a very bad team but not ready for England yet. Might as well pick Reeves & Mortimer than Smalling and Cleverley. At least R+M are funny.

    Agreed. 100%.

Oh i think that a poor England performance next week will just add to the pressure. Come on Denmark now.!!!

Time yet but if you are correct then your last line is spot on.

Oh they do. Roy must be black n blue now. 2 hours of constent kicking from all over the place.

I don't buy into this 'Smalling can cover RB' bollocks. He can't, he just gets forced out there because he's ****e and United have no RB most weeks.

Michael Carrick has completed 63 interceptions in the EPL this season, the only English player to have managed more is Curtis Davies (73).

    Squawka Football ‏@Squawka
The only Premier League defender to win more aerial duels than Steven Caulker this season (104) is Hull's Curtis Davies (106).

I have to say the England Squad selection is, as you all say, a joke. Caulker over Davies and Cleverley over Huddlestone is absolutely absurd!

However, after watching Southampton against us; Rodriguez, Shaw and Lambert definitely justify their places in the squad. Didn't like Lallana though, but only seen him once.

If places aren't final - all Roy has to do is watch a few of our games... even on tele and they will see how the two City players mentioned above are outstanding players and should be given a second England chance.

I very much doubt a Hull City player will ever get called up whilst Roy is England manager, he has never forgiven us for showing him up in our first year in the PL.

Cleverley looked a decent prospect in his first 10 games. Never been impressed by Smalling.

I was a fan of Cleverley's when he first broke through, but he's been dreadful this season.

    Squawka Football ‏@Squawka
Tom Cleverley has created just 4 EPL chances since England's last int game vs Germany on Nov 19th. Fewer than Huddlestone (20) & Barry (14).

Adrian Durham has a feature called ""Heads Gone"". Roy Hodgson has certainly lost his head with this squad.

If the Brazil squad is anything like this then God Help Us.

Heads Gone is On now. Lol.

Unfortunately, when Roy finally did get round to watching one of our games, it was Southampton away.

To my knowledge Roy's only been at two of our games. Southampton away and Sunderland away. So one good, one bad. But he has people close to him that'll be at or at least watch almost every game we play. There's no way he's not aware of our players performances this season.

    Exactly.

There will be an England scout at every Premier League game every week.

I had some friends I spent a lot of time with in the 90s, from different parts of Europe, who’d laugh at our selection policy (as well as our football).

Currently, I don’t think Hodgson is doing a particularly good job anyway. The group we scraped through was pretty **** and we really did scrape through. God knows who'd replace him though. Dread to think of dreadkrapp or ****ing Stuart Pearce. Shame McClaren never worked out but that's another story.

With regard to the players, I honestly don’t know enough about the current England team to know if they (Hudd and Davies) justify a place. But, I do know enough in the sense that because they play for Hull City, they will not have been given due consideration.

I haven’t heard anyone praise Cleverley (bar ITV ****s) and I know a fair few (proper) Manchester United fans. I have seen him play a few times, but to be honest, I can’t remember anything significant either way.

England win – good (must be years since it made me feel great). England lose – I’m not that bothered.

Thinking about it, I actually blame ITV for a lot of my attitude towards England these days. Their ****ing awful cock sucking plattitudes, that **** Chiles, the twat of a commentator … all dressing up yet another pile of **** performance by England.

I really hope England finish last in the group with no points, might make the Fa do something. Also roy should be sacked what a twat that man is. He knows **** all about football. Look forward to playing our qualifying games for Euro 2016 teams that are our level. We are the same level as teams like Russia, Switzerland and Croatia and not Spain,Germany,Brazil or Italy. I reckon if this old fart is still in charge for 2018 world cup we will be playing Gerrard and Cole with there zimmer frames.
