To be fair it took our boys until their second season to get in the squad. I guess Roy would only want to call up new players who he thinks have a chance of going to Brazil too. Luke can displace Ashley Cole, but I don't think Cahill/Jag/Jones/Smalling with Caulker as backup have that much chance of being moved.

Why are there just as many left backs as centre backs?

 

There's more keepers than CBs.

Which is why is mentioned Davies earlier. Though Lescott, Dawson and if he was available Terry should be in there.

 

I think thst is SRL World Cup place secured. Surely if Carrol was in his plans at all both would have been in the squad so he can compare the two.

Overall great for Saints. Our front three are really going to bust a gut between now and the end of the season to stay in the squad.

Young's got the same amount of goals and assists as Townsend in less games this season, despite being in poor form. Everyone knows how good he can be, if he gets near that level by the end of the season then yes, he's definitely ahead of Townsend.
