I think we will have a better idea of how many Saints players are in Hodgson's World Cup Plans in 6 hours time. Lallana almost certainly will be in the squad. Shaw has been rumoured to be in the squad. Rodriguez and Lambert may also be in the squad. Can't wait until 3.
Is this a bigger thirty man squad? I'm going for Lallana, shaw, Rodriguez and Lambert in the squad If we do get four in the squad has this ever been done before by southampton?
He said he will name a big squad, but, by the time they go to the warm weather training, some will be aware that they may only be back ups. Still a great experience and would suggest they are in with a chance for the European Cup games. Suspect the WC is the only chance for Rickie (unless he has a stonking next season)...so want this for him. It's got to the point that I want RL to score as much for him as for Saints.
I thought it was announced at 13:30, but only because Alex Crook said so. They are normally at three, aren't they?
Yes, this is the last 'open' squad as it were. England then play Peru at Wembley on the 30th of May before heading to Miami for games against Ecuador and Honduras in the first week of June. If I remember correctly, Hodgson said that this squad will be his World Cup squad, to get them together and playing a couple of 'warm-up' games in a different environment.
Shaw, Lambert, Lallana are definites from reports Rodriguez is probable Clyne and Cork possibles but unlikely

I don't really think Rickie should be there on current form, but hopefully he does get picked and it gives him a huge confidence boost. That would be fantastic just before Saturday. Or he doesn't get picked and feels like he has a point to prove on Saturday!
