    Question for the Arsenal fans.

Would you prefer Modric to join Chelsea and condem the spuds to another barren spell in the wilderness. But in the process strengthen our title rivals?

Or would you prefer him to stay at WHL, where he will be less of a threat to Arsenal?

Couldn't give a toss. They will be in the wilderness regardless and Chelski will not be a threat next season regardless of who they get in.

Moderate has found his level at WHL.

I think he is at a level above Spurs tbh. If he does leave the spuds, then I hope it's abroad and not to Utd or Chelsea. Both of whom are looking to replace their old men in MF

He is the most overrated player in the Spuds team - even more so than that one trick pony Bale.

All he ever does is pass in the safe zone time and time again. His **** assists record backs this up and the Spuds only made the CL because he was out injured for a third of the season!

He can go to one of the top 4 and weaken them or stay at WHL and continue to hold them back. Either way is a win-win to me.

    Just my honest opinion...

...garnished with a little dose of healthy hatred for all things Spud :p

You sound like the people who said that Xavi was overrated because all he does is pass sideways back when Barcelona were not the best team in the world. Modric is a really, really good player, it would be a bit unfair to admit that.

Very good player, but does not score enough. Rather have Nasri. I have heard a lot of rumours about players Chelsea may be bringing in, but I am wondering whether any big names are going to leave.

Would we prefer Spurs to have a few million to buy a creative midfielder who actually scores and assists, or would we prefer Chelsea to spend another fortune on an over-rated player from a Premiership top 7 side?

To be honest, couldn't care either way.

    <cheers>

Spurs can spend millions on decent players and will still fail with that mug of a manager or they can get a proper manager and fail with the crap team they have now. It's all good.

I am now relishing seeing moderate move to a better club so those who believe the hype can see him exposed for what he is. He looks better than he is simply because he is surrounded by dross week in, week out.

He is a centre mid, its not his job to score goals! I think he is the best at his position in the premiership.

Not that I don't enjoy laughing at spurs but they are a decent team and Redknapp has done a good job. In my opinion Modric would start in any team in the premiership.

Modric is a quality player, in fact Wenger was looking at him before he joined Spurs, so he obviously thinks that he is Arsenal standard. Having said that though, he would not get in our team ahead of Fabregas, Nasri and Wilshere.

Little Lucy will be off to Chelsea. Levy can kick and scream all he wants, but every player has his price and the player has already said that he wants to leave Spurs.

I think Spurs are the biggest threat to Arsenal as things stand.

I can't see United, City or Chelsea dropping out of the Champions League places next year, they all have stronger Squads that Arsenals and will no doubt spend another £100M each this Summer.

Liverpool are spending some money, but their Squad is far too weak to be considered for anything higher than 5th/6th

But Spurs, if they keep Modric, Bale etc, well they could easily finish above Arsenal next season.

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.
