You could get "Gizzajob" tattooed on your forehead.

And " Up yours, then." on your bum for when you're on your way out.

    sort of see your point,

there are still some jobs where tattoos are a big no for the type of job you are doing, but they are becoming generally accepted, you only have to look at the nhs and you see more nurses etc with tattoos and dyed hair etc than you used to, same with piercings etc, although health and safety comes into that along the way obviously.

i worked in the finance sector which is generally classed as a snoby field to work in and its becoming accepted in that field, goths, dyed hair, piercings tattoos etc.

i know some who have some right evil tattoos who have later converted to Christianity and its generally accepted that we all have a past, but its the present that matters etc.

I don't like tattoos either. People who have them always say they are deeply meaningful to them well you'd hope so wouldn't you, it's not like etch a sketch where you shake yourself clean then start again.

  4. I'm not saying anyone wants to hide their past but by having a tattoo on your neck, face, head, etc you simply can't. Having a drug related one in that area is going to make people have an opinion of you before you even speak. Of course, not everyone cares what people think either.

I'd never have any tattoo in a visible place (in hot weather so wearing shorts and t-shirt) such as the head, forearm or below the knee.

A tattoo done right can be a great piece of artwork on your body, whats up with that?

My mate (tattooist) takes great pride in his line of work and is bloody good at it and he'll have an Aston Martin before me <doh> (bet we made at 18)

You even see coppers with tattoos on their forearms now. Its like you lot talk like we are still in the days on having a Popeye style tattoo on your arm, some of these tattoos are great pieces of artwork

I haven't got one by the way!

    Alright, Doc.
I wasn't saying we should condemn anyone who's got one, just that I personally don't understand the attraction.
    And I stand by that.

    I wasnt getting at anyone

Was just defending tattoos in general really, done right they can look amazing imo but obv they aren't for everyone

I think tattoos can be great for tributes as well, like a lost loved on or of your children etc

Because you like said artwork so much, or you could have something that is personal to you, or like I say a tribute or just simply because you like a certain painting drawing and also like tattoos!

Couldn't you just have a picture of it on your wall or in your pocket if you feel you can't leave home without it.

People like tattoos atm because it's fashionable to like tattoos. When you look back at old photos of yourself you cringe that you went along with a particular style or haircut that was fashionable in the day. Todays tattoo generation will have permanent reminders.
