It's been a while since we had a 0-0 draw and if we have our top centre half back I think we can hold them. To good team to cancel each other out. I would take a draw
I think we'll lose, which I'm fine with (lets not get into the same argument that erupted over me saying that last time), as Liverpool are a considerably stronger side. However, I expect to see us put up a fight and we should be looking to at least give them a few worries. I hope Dejan is back, as the defence hasn't quite been the same without him, but I feel no concern coming into the game. I don't want to get thumped, obviously, but I expect a good game of football that should be easy on the eye. I think it's possible we could get something too, but we will need a couple of their lads to have a bad day.
Let's see we need to stop Saurez working his genius, don't give Sturridge even a sniff of goal, stop Gerrard from spraying pin point accurate passes from his own half, Sterling and Coutinho haven't exactly been in bad form the last few games. We could be in for a very rough ride, Lovren only just back from injury, the team's not confident... I think we'll lose.
You boys are almost making me cry! It's not my job to cheer you up but come on lads. Your side is not as dire as say Cardiff or Fulham even when they are not playing well. So there has to be hope for you!
We're having a bit of an existential crisis at the moment Dave because there's not much left for us to play for. To be fair we are actually quite good at football but not got many strikers. Gallagher could get another start because Lambert has been looking tired. Lovren will probably go back in, not sure about Ramirez I think he will come off the bench in the second half again.
It's the first time in the 8-years or so I've been supporting Saints there's nothing left to play for. Dunno what to do!
Been looking forward to this one since the fixtures came out last summer. If they can't get out of their own half, they can't score can they? Then it's just a question of us taking our chances.
In a sense that's a good thing. The Saints are now in a position where PL survival in the foreseeable future is pretty concrete. Stay as a top 10 team and get some cup runs together in the next few seasons and you should be pleased. I actually really enjoy watching your team play, and on a personal level I'm happy that you're in a stable position currently. Saturdays match should be end to end. However we do tend to play better against teams that like to play, and you guys certainly fall into that category. Hard one to call to be honest, one thing for sure is we would have learnt our lesson from playing 4 CB's at Anfield Recently our attacking threat has been the best in the league. With not only SAS doing well, but young Sterling has been immense. Coutinho with his magic, and Gerrard sitting back spraying balls about seems to be working a treat. Add to that Henderson's energy and we seem to have a very nice balance. The problem with us currently is our defence, it is there to be got at. We simply need Sakho and Enrique back before that'll change.
I'm questioning everything. Are we still an exciting side to watch? I didn't think so last saturday, nor against Stoke.
I also have a strangly confident feeling about this game, its the away games against the physical teams that seem to get me nervous. I am expecting a better result this Saturday than i am next Saturday away to palace.
Can we please stop saying we have nothing to play for? I'm getting really tired of it. We are six points off a top six finish, with potential qualification for Europe, something I have only ever really dreamed of until this season. All three of the teams above us are still to come to St Mary's. I'm not saying we're going to finish sixth, but to suggest that it's not worth playing for? Shame on all of you. I hope Poche and the team have got a bit more sporting endeavour about them than this bunch of ungrateful, miserable sods. Rant over.
