Last night on 5 Live the comemntators said that the istanbul metro literally drops you outside Galatasaray's stadium and as you walk up you are showered with soap suds. I am sure we can all think of some stadiums in England where that would be a good idea...........
Is it morning already? It doesn't seem to have had time to be. Done my fair share of spreading but ................ You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to canary-dave again.

Morning all, wet and windy in my small corner today. I rather doubt that much more will be done outside today.
Clear blue skies here, a nice day to get out and get something done in the garden. Anybody interested? Tea and biscuits after it's done.
We have 2C and no snowing today. The snow we have will need some warmth to go but the weather office says more at the weeks end.
Based on most of your comments you seem to have had a lot of experience in injecting various recreational substances
Thank you all for your good wishes for my retirement. I have never found anyone who says it's bad thing although some say what will you do all day!!!! Doing nothing now becomes a possibility, then there is bucket list. I don't think I will be totally free as Mrs S is retiring too but she is my best mate and we will have a lot of fun together I find it a little strange that you get congratulated when you get a job and then again when you retire, I have always thought that commiserations were in order because we all had to get a job! I feel for Dave always with his diabetes. The other night I saw Dortmond (I think) playing on the telly, they seem to have brought one of Watford's old strips - black & yellow with the stripy sox, one of my favourites from the old days.
Just noticed this thread only had a 1 star rating, just done something about it. Thought you might have noticed Dave. Bad Dave, naughty Dave.
Congrats Scull. My brother was over at my dad's house last weekend and he said that when you retire you don't know how you managed to fit everything in when you were working!
To be honest, since the days of the "one star bandit" on the old BBC 606, I've never really noticed star ratings on here!
mmm.... what shall I do this morning... mmm.. I think I can manage an hour of doing nothing.... (I was talking to an ex colleague last week who like me talks of the joys of "doing nothing" I did a days teaching again last week and it was like jumping on this very very very fast moving conveyor belt...... talk about a rat race.... so glad to get off again
