I was at the SOL and I'm fairly sure we filled the away section? We had great vocal support that day as well whereas you seemed to have a sustained exodus beginning in about the 70th minute and by the end I think there were probably more city fans than Mackems in the stadium.
Easy to have great vocal support when the oppo gets a player sent off in the first 5 and has an uphill task - You're right though - we were quiet that day (and most of our home games are) not sure why - compared to Palace when we played them at Selhurst we are silent almost every game (except against the mags!) Pity really and I wish I knew why it was like this. Our away fans have outsung just about every home team at every ground this season by the way
I'm a season ticket holder in the north west corner & I tell you now your away support is not vocal at all. our support that day was **** but yours wasn't much better. Plus you didn't sell out up here to. you will see vocal away support when the mackems come to hull.
Yeah, and we'll also see your **** team implode again and then you fannies whinging about Brucie again
Alright dickhead. At least let us enjoy our cup final before you wum the board up. please log in to view this image
Disagree with that completely but whatever, and if you're in that corner you must have been silent as literally the only noise came from a small section of the South but even then it wasn't exactly loud. The KC is far better for away fans anyway in terms of seating so I'm sure you will make a lot of noise, you get the full North stand and it's only one tier so you aren't stuck up in the gods like at the SOL. I wish we moved away fans up to the west stand upper as it seems stupid giving them the stand behind a goal and having our most vocal supporters in the East stand North corner where acoustics make them sound much quieter than they would in the North. Not sure whether to hope you boys beat Man City and not focus on the FA cup or lose and be dejected. You could of course win and be on a high or lose and bounce back. I think our game will be close. If we had Long and Jela I'd be fairly certain that we'd beat you as Long has been incredible for our all round play and Jela is in the right place at the right time. Without them however we still have Aluko coming back who has the potential to tear any team apart and then Sagbo who should be fighting for the 3rd striker spot and looks like he could be a real player with a bit more experience in English football. Chester coming back is a huge plus for us as it's good to have another centre half who can play football. Hope your players can actually keep their heads as I don't want to hear about how we'd lose to you with with 11 men again.
I know your ground is smaller but us packing the away fans up there has backfired and made the atmosphere worse. I'd advice against.
I already wished you good luck (not sure if it was on this thread or another), so I'm now perfectly entitled to wum you
That corner is under you & I didn't hear vocal away support sorry. only heard you lot when you scored & at the end when our stadium was half full. the south stand is the singing stand & most of noise does come from like. some games the noise is loud but some games it's **** like it was against Hull but having Brown sent off early on didn't help tho. may the best team win pal.
Most teams what come to sunderland have very poor away support & thats what makes the atmosphere poor like.
What makes the atmosphere poor at the SOL is the Sunderland fans making no noise. IMO, we have one of the worst home vocal support in the league, It's like a friggin morgue. Having a pop at visiting supporters for atmosphere is ludicrous and immensely hypocritical.
