You said earlier that we'd ended their only chance of silverware but now you're saying they're challengers for the league.
They are challenging, but won't win it, the FA Cup was their best opportunity for silverware, and even they know it.
Nice to see the spuds celebrating going into the next round of the competition everyone hopes they never end up in . still "better to fail while aiming high ." Bayern ,Barca , Real ,PSG , Dortmund This is HIGH spuddies.! Dnipro , PAOK , Plzen , Salzburg. This is low , you are aiming very LOW . And until you are back with the big boys , its ALL LOW
I think this is a quote from Bill Nicholson about failing whilst aiming high. He said that even failure has an element of glory in it. Spuds - Glorifying failure
Showing your ignorance here Piskie. The quote was about Spurs aiming to do the double of the League and Cup which had not been done in the 20th century and was considered to be impossible. Nicholson essentially said he was aiming that high, but by 'failing' and winning one or the other there would still be glory. Since Spurs had not had success on anything like that level before, he was completely correct and was not glorifying failure.
A very close friend of mine is getting married in March and has asked me to be Best Man. He's a HUGE Spurs fan and has had a very difficult past for various reasons. I emailed Spurs about the Wedding, explaining a little about him and how he came to be where he is now. They responded this morning saying they're getting Tim Sherwood to send a letter out wishing him well on his big day. To me, that's incredible. They didn't need to respond in any way, but their manager is giving up his time - even if it's just a few seconds to sign a piece of paper - to make the best day of his life just that little bit better. I have HUGE respect for any club that considers their fans in this manner. It's fantastic to see a club who actually really take the time to care about their fans. Bravo Spurs, bravo
Wrong thread Bonstar. this is a laugh at Spurs thread. This needs to go on the Spurs appreciation thread which, er...
Your forum?! Yea gads man I ain't going on there. I made the mistake of going on Stoke's Oatcake or whatever it's called and still haven't recovered.
For fans of most clubs this would be a total travesty, giving up on your club because you can't take the pain of being crap. But you have to cut this bloke some slack and say that it's commendable that he's seen the light and kicked the dirty habit of supporting spurs. It's like a recovering addict giving up smack, it gives you a quick thrill in the moment, but ultimately it will ruin your life.
****ing useless ****s, how many goals did they gift Chelsea today ? I'm beginning to wonder if those twats from N17 should be investigated for match fixing please log in to view this image
