Matth, I saw on twitter at 9pm that you were saying "we need to get behind the players". Then an hour later you were saying "we have to blame the players". I'm not trying to wind you up but what happened in that hour that made you change your mind like that?
What's his new twitter name? He either keeps getting banned, or he keeps blocking me I don't even reply to him on twitter, he's just one of those complete idiots that occasionally comes out with uncontrolled comedy gold.
Moyes has to take the blame. The players were ****e but they didnt select themselves. They dont manage and train themselves. Moyes and his coaching staff are to blame for this season and for last night.
This. You still have some excellent players who should be challenging for the title and battering Olympiakos.
Moyes approached an away leg knockout C.L game like Mike Bassett. That midfield selection was rubbish. He's simply not up to task.
Yet you're all happy that Rooney got a big, fat (kind of apt) new contract and he was out on the pitch wasn't he? How is it Moyes fault if the tub of lard keeps giving the ball away and falling over? RvP was there too blasting over from 10 yards which would have given you an away goal....as far as I could see every single one of those players was one of Fergies. Cleverley who seems to be your fans whipping boy played 32 times last season under Fergie yet Moyes gets slagged off by all and sundry for playing him. Young played over 20 games and Welbeck over 40. Whilst the tactics were rubbish....the effort was worse. I've never bought the "players won't play for the manager" bollocks, it's a piss poor excuse for laziness. How about playing for the fellas who scrimp and save to follow the team around Europe. Whether or not you love or hate the manager it's absolutely no reason for strolling round sulking like a baby. At what point do you look at a guy getting 2 or 3 HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK (a ****ing week) and say take a bit of responsibility yourselves you crying little ****s In fairness to R Wayne at least he hasn't hidden, at least he's come out and said the players need to look at themselves unlike the little scrote van P who's already angling for another move. Talk about showing your true colours eh Robin
Cant say I disagree with this. Though Rooney looked to me to be the only player on the field with any intensity or drive. There does come a time when you have to say "Look, these guys are getting paid a heroes wage and aren't putting in the effort." It is pretty unacceptable that most of them looked like they couldn't give a s**t.
As I said Rooney is probably the only one with a bit of credibility left in that department. It always amazes me fans are so willing to accept a lack of effort from players however much they get paid but especially the top earners (and that's not just aimed at the mancs btw). I saw it with Torres under Hodgson, sulking because his mate had been sacked. Well have a bit of respect for those of us who turn up in all weathers and spend our hard earned especially in an away game the far side of the continent. I'd be as pissed with RvPee today as Moyes if I was a united fan. **** performance, lack of effort, wasted the best chance of the game and then to top it all he comes out with an "it's not my fault guv" excuse at the end of the game. To coin a phrase "he's not the kind of fella you'd want next to you in the trenches"
Pointless nonsense from the scouser. Rooney and RvP were isolated due to Moyes team selection. No support = lack of chances = lack of goals. RvP missed but its exaggerated by the fact it was our only chance. Fergie got stick for playing Cleverley and Valencia and Young constantly. They were **** last season and are **** this season. We have far superior option yet moyes wont use them. KIagawa played plenty for us under Fergie and impressed. He wasnt amazing but was good in his first season. Moyes could have utilised him more but instead plays Young. He should be executed.
Whats telling is how the playerds react to scoring. They go mad. Nobody can question the desire of the players ( Rio being an exception, though I think he despises Moyes ).
