Come to think of it, I know the perfect replacement, who has proven experience in this kind of situation. Roberto Di Matteo
Why does it have to be put down to luck out of interest? I take your point though but I still believe he'd have brought in Sturridge and Coutinho as he knew they fitted his system. Moyes hasn't yet been given the chance to build a squad to his style and most of those players are Fergies yet he seems blameless in some quarters. Yes Moyes deserves criticism for not motivating them of course he does but I totally agree with Swarbs that players at this level need a ****ing bullet if they can't get up for a European game (or any game when pulling on a united shirt). The fact is that at Everton he had plenty of players who would run through brick walls for him and plenty who stayed around despite getting better offers. The fact that the likes of RvP won't do that says as much about them as it does about Moyes.
I think the poor lad's head would explode. Even more if we offered Moyes in part exchange Nah, he's just Di Matteo lite...we'll get him next season when we're in the Europy
Well, now he is. I also didn't say he should be sacked, not right now anyway, I said my patience has run out as he clearly isn't good enough for the job. End of season he can go, once we've sorted out his replacement. And no, not because of one team selection, because of a whole host of team (mis) selections. I've given him time, it's now ran out.
Tick tock tick tock Moyes. Can we also ban Moyes 2013 and anyone with Moyes in their username once sacked so we dont have to be reminded?
Your job is to get behind the new manager. Just follow along with dumb, blind faith. Don't think to question it, don't even think about having an opinion of your own, don't dream of it. You fans know nothing except how to scrimp for tickets, so don't try and tell us what to do.
Youve already had some of those players. even with some of our imposters they still wouldnt get into our under 5's squad.
I think its fair to say we did, to a point. Some, like me gave up on Moyes months back, others just this week. His ****ing name was still sang at OT, hes let the fans down first and foremost. Hes let the club down as well.
A similar poll on redcafe gives a far better idea of the feeling right now. 84% want him gone, now. 300 have voted. 2 months ago 78% wanted him to stay. Says it all.
Hindsight is marvellous, makes people look like genii. The truth is, Ferguson probably thought Moyes could cut it. The fact that he clearly can't has been borne out of the course of the season, that's all. Fergie did not plan all this, to suggest otherwise is just plain daft. Moyes was fourth choice for me out of the probability list, behind Guardiola, Klopp and Mourinho, in that order, but I also thought he'd give the job a fair go. I'm not a sheep, I'm not brainwashed, I'm not an idiot. I've been a United fan for nearly forty years and I thought he could do the job.
I have been a United fan for more than that and I have seen united in a worse situation. Howver, in these modern times, with the stock market and the global following I can understand the impatience. No matter who they bring in, there is going to be a painful period of transition. When United will be shot at by the smallest team, kicked out of the cups by lowly placed teams. Swansea, Sunderland and Olympiacos (nearly) dumping United out of Cups did not surprise me. What is the poor pathetic performance when players play like headless chickens and as if they are in a training session. What happened to the Beyer Leverkusen attitude?
This is what makes me jumpy. Say Klopp comes in and we're equally as bad for a period, do the TV watching masses get their way again? Does the stock market make the decision? Someone has to be allowed the time to turn things around. This is the bit that baffles me, the fact that some don't see the enormity of the whole job, let alone the fact the squad is in need of massive overhaul.
