Hull City reached the FA Cup quarter-finals with a deserved victory over Brighton & Hove Albion tonight.

The hosts led when Jake Forster-Caskey was unable to prevent Curtis Davies's header dropping into the net.

Robert Koren's free-kick doubled the lead via deflections from two Brighton players.

Seagulls defender Lewis Dunk hit the bar from 10 yards out, and Leonardo Ulloa pulled one back with a header, but they couldn't find a leveller.

Hull, who are 11th in the Premier League, will now meet manager Agent Bruce's former side Sunderland in the sixth round.

I wonder if they've put everything into it and will be taking things easy when we meet up with them when we play them away on the 1st Mar.

We don't need to go easy, we have nothing to play for except respectability.

They don't need to be fit to lay on a sun drenched beach in Barbados.

I can see Shane Long causing us problems again. Always puts in a performance against us.

Quite we we couldn't chuck our hat in the ring to bring him to the Toon is beyond me. Hull or Newcastle, I know what I'd prefer.

We had no huddlestone, mcgregor, long, jelavic, rosenior and bruce jr playing tonight
From the team that best cardiff

We took the foot off the gas in the second half, hopefully we prevent Sunderland reaching Wembley again.

Saturday against yous lot should be a good close game and you couldn't really pick a winner

Long and Jelavic are already looking a good partnership. Going to be close game.

Are you kidding? I'm pretty certain we'll be safe come the end of the season, but we still need a few points to make sure of that. Absolutely no way we'll be taking it easy. Steve Bruce has put together a good squad that is benefiting from competition right across the pitch, and the result is a highly-motivated team regardless of which players he selects.

How far is it to the ground from where the away supporters coaches park?

From what I recall, they park at the ground.

Might need clarification from another City fan though. <ok>

If I've done the link right, you should see the ground, and above it, an odd looking lunar landscape. In between are some all weather pitches. The coaches park next to them near to the bushes south of the school cricket pitch.

Nearest pubs are on Walton street, with Walton Club and Brickmakers your first two,

    Safe journey.

When did you prevent us from going to Wembley? This is the first time we've met in cup competition. Think you worded that wrong marra. fixed. Though I would have said this if I was you.

"hopefully we'll beat Sunderland again, sending us to Wembley"

That way you don't seem more interested in beating Sunderland than Hull going through and reaching a cup Semi Final. <whistle>

Looking forward to Saturday more than usual for a couple of reasons. Firstly it'll be my first game for 5 weeks & secondly I missed 4 games during our 1st stint in the PL, all were against you lot.

Think we'll just about edge it.
