I just think it is the fact that it is a so called respected cricket club with a sizable number of Sunderland players/staff/members in their ranks that is the problem..

I think they are setting themselves up for trouble..There is a good number of Sunderland fans in that neck of the woods, and it only takes one to trash the place..

 

It's just banter from a club, in a town on the banks of the Tyne. Something you can guarantee we would do should the unthinkable ever happen.
Naturally they will have some Mackem members who I'm sure will laugh it off for the Geordie jealousy it is.
