Firstly from the information I had at the time of his transfer, Michu had one hell of a jump in wages from what he got back in Spain at his old club, and that was still within our wage structure, and I'm pretty sure on this, up to you to prove me wrong. With regard to Laudrup being a compensatory factor to supplement wages to attract, well I do not buy into this, and see this merely as media hype, you will always get a certain percentage of players that come and go as managers do, as it was with Rodgers (Sinclair, Borini).................. MANU losing 2-0??
Michu came to swansea because we met the valuation of his club and he deemed our financial package suitable for him
Exactly valley, Michu was playing lower league football in Spain and a number of clubs did go and see him but nobody was interested enough to take him on until we did...Bony the same, he had a stint at liverpool hoping for a contract but they let him return to his club as no contract was on offer.....These players come here for the money and the chance to play in British football, They don't come here because of any manager, the weather or the gower coast. they simply come because it was the best offer they could get at the time.....They will always say when they arrive and pose with the shirt a load of rubbish that every player says as that is normal practice but nobody believes a word of it...
Seeing as you asked Phil, and unlike you I will answer those questions, then here you go. Man Utd = 36% Fulham = 49% Man Utd = 52% Spurs = 51% Petrolul = 50% Birmingham = 41% Southampton = 58% Cardiff = 54% Valencia = 60% St Gallen = 50% Everton = 56% Chelsea = 53% Man City = 52% Man Utd = 61% Spurs = 59% West Ham = 63% So there you go Phillip, in ML's last 39 games (all comps) he lost 16 games, and there are the % of possession we had in each game. Now if you refer to the last 39 in the Premier League well here are those West Ham = 55% Liverpool = 44% Arsenal = 48% Spurs = 57% Chelsea = 39% Man Utd = 36% Fulham = 49% Man Utd = 52% Spurs = 51% Southampton = 58% Cardiff = 54% Everton = 56% Chelsea = 53% Man City = 52% Man Utd = 61% Spurs = 59% West Ham = 63% So there you have it Phillip, all Premier games lost in ML's final 39 games, a total of 17 games lost, so for those who like stats, that is a 44% loss. However Phillip, can you answer me a question, of those 17 loses, how many should we not have lost? And how many are or were in the top 10 in their respective seasons that we played them. I tell you what, seeing as I KNOW you do not like to actually answer any questions put to you which does not reflect well on your silly opinion that ML was rubbish, I'll answer it for you. Of the 17 games played, 14 of those were against top half teams. So we only lost 3 games of those 39, against teams in our mini league. Now that is a very interesting stat for those who think we were actually in relegation form. Now another stat for you Phillip, this season, as pointed out in another thread has seen us play only 10 teams from the bottom half, and 14 from the top half. So if we also add in the 15 games from last season to make your magical 39 games, then we actually played 22/39 against top half teams. So ML in the last 39 games as you like to use, has had to play 56% of games against top half teams. So lets put that into simple terms for you, 14/22 games against top 10 teams were lost. Only 3/17 games were lost against bottom half teams.
See above how again your claim to stats is so ill informed, as ML did not lose 31 of his last 39. As has been pointed out in another post by myself: - ML has won 9 of the last 39 premier league games, so where you get 8 from beggars belief - ML has won 12 of his last 39 games in all comps, so where you get 8 from beggars belief Maybe this time you will provide us of the exact 39 games that give us just 8 wins Also interested to see these 39 games, where ML lost 31 of them lol. Good luck with that one mate So if you are using facts, then please do share, as so far your facts are so off the mark, I am starting to doubt you k now anything about what your talking about
All that we are interested in are the total wins and anyone can see laudrup was losing games he shouldn't be losing, Teams were wanting to play us every week we were so bad......
Last 39 games ML win rate = 23% in premier league ML win rate = 31% in all comps Last 5 for Monk GM win rate = 33% in premier league (played 1 top half team) GM win rate = 20% in all comps Last 5 for ML ML win rate = 25% in premier league (played 2 top half teams) ML win rate = 40% in all comps #MONKOUT right Dai? As also pointed out Dai, ML only lost 3 of the last 39 premier league games against teams we shouldn't lose too, they were Fulham, West Ham and Cardiff - so your talking bollocks that he lost games he shouldn't have. Or are your expectations that high that we should not lose too Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton etc
Don't get drawn into the negativity swansalona, just think of either end of those 39 games . 40 points in 28 games and a League cup at one end and a healthy , easier fixture shedule for the new manager at the other . Its all thats imporrtant , 47points his first season , on his way to 47 points this season till Christmas till injurygate. These guys are fools , as is the board and Huw with there knee jerk sacking .
Oh wait, I just realised, West Ham are currently top half, so that means we have only lost 2 games against bottom half teams, and played 23/39 against top half teams. Now that makes it even more interesting. Hell this is not looking good for your opinions guys. And that in ML's last 5, he played 3 top half teams, in his 1/4 win rate in the prem, where as Monk only played 1 in his 1/3 prem win rate. So in their last 5 games, Monk is the only 1 not to beat a lower half team Thats a stat for you to deal with Dai.
Swanselona some people can only see in black and white mate. I wonder how they would react if we lose against Napoli and Palace! Because that would be catastrophic IMO worse than Laudrups last month in charge. Because that would definitely be relegation form: 4 from 12 points against 3 teams lower than us in the league!
Monk had those games with a healthy team valley , Laudrup played, Everton , chelsea , villa , man city , man u , manu, spurs, birmingham and West ham injured to the hilt . How bout the r3st of my post valley . You nitwits concentrate on the last 10 games of last season while walking past 40 points in 28 games , League cup , and a berth inthe Europa like blind fools
