    I would suggest that Tom Cleverly will be player of the tournament.

    As above but I also suspect Welbeck will be top scorer.

    Joking aside, I wonder why it will be Rooneys fault this time round. What we thinking?

    I suspect it will be very similar to the 2006 world cup;

    Rooney will break his leg in three places in April and then there will be the race against time for him to be fit in time to save the nation at the world cup.
    He'll be declared fit (by an FA doctor) to play in the world cup one week after the injury and from there on he will be put on (forced into) an FA fitness programme.
    He'll be flown to Brazil still in a plaster cast which will be removed minutes before kick off of the second game so he can play up front to save the nation.

    He doesn't score and gets blamed, 100%, for England's inevitable early exit.

    Something like that.

    I'd like to see one of our players who isnt likely to be going to the world cup take the blame. Perhaps one that retired years ago and isnt even English.

    I'm sure one of friends of other clubs can help us out with that.

    Really looking forward to the world cup! We have a really mobile and skillful front 4, but will roy play them together?

    --------Sturridge--------
    Sterling Rooney Chamberlain
    -----Gerrard -- Wilshere ----
    Baines/Shaw Jagielka Cahill Clyne

    Can't see hodson plaything this team though...
