Kezman was a bit of a flop at Chelski after setting the world alight in Hoeland

Think we were linked with him as well at one point !

It's the complete opposite to Remy.

With Remy we have a player who isn't 'ours'. He's scoring well this season, but with every goal he nets our chances of signing him permanently apparently diminish as his value goes up.

With Cisse we have a player who is ours, can't score to save his life and with every passing week his value diminishes, along with our chances of selling him to anyone at all.

We need Cisse to score all the goals so that his value goes up and Remy's value goes down. We might even keep them both if that happens.

Can they just swap shirts for the last 11 games?

I would like to compare the type of performances he was giving during his 'hot streak' with the ones he is turning in now. When he was scoring, how was his overall level of play? Did he show a better work rate? Was his off the ball movement and positioning better? Did he contribute more towards the team? Or was he just a very, very effective one-trick-pony?

The thing is, if he produced much better all round play during that amazing 5-month period then it's obvious the boy has talent. You could then argue that a lack of confidence or bad coaching (or both) has taken its toll on him. Whether or not he will achieve that old form at our club remains to be seen. New management and coaching staff might help - cause this theory would imply that Pardew has indeed "coached the quality out of him". Or he will need to move clubs in order to start with a clean slate and better coaching.

The alternative is that his hot streak was just him getting lucky and being in the right place at the right time. If that's the case then he needs to leave.

Well then we could at least say how badly Remy has gone off the boil and that we'd happily take him off QPR's hands seeing as nobody else wants him, while also touting Cisse to Europe's finest fir circa £20m.

    Gotta be worth a go.

The alternative is that like Torres his level has dropped. Some players burn brightly and fade quickly. Owen, Torres being the obvious examples. They were with some of the best coaches but couldn't maintain. Personally I think Cisse's hot streak just masked his actual level of ability. Move him on asap.

I always thought he gave a lot of unnecessary fouls away for a striker. Even when he was in good goal scoring form, he seemed to give away possession a lot. Often just late - or maybe it was poor technique?

Also his off sides have always been so frustrating.

As for his ball control, he has always been so erratic. He can stop a ball dead in mid flight with a heel flick one minute and then knock the ball 5 yards in front, off his shin, when completely unchallenged the next. I can't fathom him out.

When he was scoring, you 'allow' for these failings in the sense that he scores, you win the game, you're happy. But when he stopped scoring, these things become doubly frustrating and it grows with time.

Now, all I see in him is somebody who can't control the ball, snatches at scoring opportunities, runs off side without even knowing where the defenders are and gives away free kicks. He did that before, but he scored too

Just a shame Cisse cant do it anymore. He was scoring all sorts of goals and spectacular ones too. At the time people with more than happy to get rid of Demba Ba but keep Cisse. Always knew it should have been the opposite way though as Demba Ba brings far more to the table than just goals
