Oh cool I'll check that out, its a remake isnt it of a Romero film from the seventies

REC/Quarintine is good as well, watched the Spanish (REC) and the American remake. No 1 and 2

REC 3 is absolutely ****e though, dont bother. They didnt do a Quarintine 3

I really liked the 28 days/weeks later films. Hope they do another

I thought it was very good, its an amazing story with some great acting in it, especially from Michael Fassbender.

Some good ghost types of movies are REC like you mentioned already: Grave Encounters, Insidious, Shutter Island kind of falls into that, The Ruins is ok, Dead Silence has its moments ( more jumpy), The orphanage, exorcism of emily rose.

12 years a slave is good and not as simple a story as you may think. Nothing amazing imo but well worth a watch.

It's good apart from the stupid cameo from Brad Pitt that means from that point on you're thinking, 'hang on, that's Brad Pitt, what's he doing there?'

Seen the new Robocop today, better than I was expecting, still not brilliant but a good update that kept some of the feel of the original but included current political issues too, in keeping with the originals satire.

Watched this yesterday. Thought it was worth a watch, too. Nowhere near as good as the original, and could have been so much better, but still pretty decent in parts. Far, far, far, better than the Total Recall re-boot. Which, compared to the original, was utter tripe. Gash, even.

Next up, the Lego movie. As my younger brother would say: F.M.L! <doh>

  10. That's good to hear. It's been slated by most reviews I've heard / read. Crazy that the original was an 18 and this version is a 12 mind.

Yeah, it is fantastic. Scorsese magic! <wizard>

    Silence you!

Can't watch Walking Dead as computer (with regards to downloads) is on the friz. Only seen the first episode since it started up again. Happily, when i fix it I can go on a Walking Dead and True Detective marathon. How many TD episodes have there been so far? I've not seen any yet but looking forward to the experience. <ok>

True Detective looks like it'll be a cracker. I think we're only S1 E2 - that's what my planner is saying.

Episode one is very good though <ok>

Keep your eyes open for Lars Von Trier's latest offering. It's called 'Nymphomaniac' and has an excellent cast. If it's along the lines of 'Antichrist', should be mind-blowing <laugh>

My eldest daughter says the Lego film is excellent <ok>

Walking Dead keeps getting better, love how they have the ability to change it up in what is really a very one dimensional setting for a story after a while.

Just watching the first ep of True Det... enjoying so far, liking the atmosphere and McConaughey's acting/character.
