What are you ****ing on about? Any money not spent is going straight into the greedy ficking Gs pockets. And the united way in the last few years has been fergie saving money for the bloody greedy yanks.

The squad has been left to deteriorate in quality because fergie wanted to (or was forced to) save money. We had Giggs and scholesy bailing United out and that saved the greedy Gs tens of millions in midfield replacements.

£300m thereabouts should do it. certainly £200m minimum and United have to compete with City and the Chavs. We can put up a few years of transition but not spending on the same level as City and Chelsea is courting disaster in the long term.

    Nowhere near that much smith.

Infact I reckon 80million could sort us short term. Kroos and gundogan for that money and we are laughing.

Best bit is neither are to far fetched. Both gettable and both quality. They would transform us instantly.

Aye, but you guys usually get there around October <whistle>

Completely agree - every time we've had a poor spell we've spent a fair bit to pull back out of it. 98, 2002, 2006, 2012 - every time we slumped a bit we made a few good signings and back we came. Don't reckon this time will be any different (tho how far back we bounce remains to be seen).

Gotta move with the times <ok>

We really need a centre half too.

When I say that I mean finished article, genuine quality. That would add thirty million.

    True.

I would like to see the midfield sorted first. In itself it can improve everywhere else on the pitch by default.

Im in a german mood at the moment so throwing a name out there.... Bender??

I'm sure Moyes will only sign him if he is absolutely sure that he can <ok>

To be fair to the Glazers, you've just spent £200m on wages/fees on no 10s and an ACM.

How much money does Moyes need to spend on each position?

Plenty moved to city, Monaco and other money clubs without champions league football.

PSG as well whp wont be in europe soon along with city.

Plus they would help us right back in.

For a club like United, it does not have to be disaster not to be in the CL next season. As as usual that f**king ******ed Purslow was talking out of his backside. Never is a f**king long time. 30 years, or 50 or 100 years?

That is why Rooney deal could be important. It is not necessarily because we are getting good value for giving this scouser £300K a week and that it is value for money for his football ability.

It could be an important signal that the club is willing to spend big to attract the best players and the era of living on a shoestring under Fergie is over.

Let's hope the Gs can see that without significant investment on players "their" capital will dwindle together with the club's performances on the pitch...
