    Congats on landing a superb manager in MacKay !! The Shearer Magnitude of this managerial signing is ....... well , you know . ( Cheers ) & good luck for the coming season but this signing is a huge , huge start .

    I share your excitement! :D However, were him and Bellamy ever team mates?

    Bellamy was at West Ham 2007/2008 and Mackay was there 2004/2005.

    Bellamy was at Norwich 1998-2000, was Mackay there then?

    I read somewhere bomber , that it was the Malaysians idea to bring in Shearer because his name would sell in the far east . Better keep the Malaysians away from the everyday football decisions & keep them focused on Sam & other financial issues because they clearly are limited to football matters . Another thing , Mackay would have never come unless the Malaysians " Showed him the money " . Things are clearly in place to move forward . Playoffs maybe ?

    SKY Sports new at 1 have just said that Mackay will be confirmed as new manager after agreeing terms, looks like the announcement is imminent.......Good

    In all honesty, unless you can spend,spend,spend, I fancy you for the drop next year.

    It's nothing personal of course, I feel the same way about most promoted teams, especially one who are in their first season in the top flight for a long time.

    I would fancy us to have come straight back down too, it's only my blind faith that would have prevented me from admitting it.
