All the events of recent weeks suggest that Malky, either directly or through his agent, had contact with Cardiff unofficially. That, for me, would mean it is worse than Rogers. As others have said, its not like he has a close tie to Cardiff. Is it a step-up? Who knows as we don't know what their owners are saying but will it materialise? I read they have a squad of 14 senior players - that is not a step-up at this stage, its a rebuilding job. Better pay though. Thirdly, he was going a new contract on BETTER terms after the Burnley affair as a well done for the current form and for staying - he wasn't because because the contract was close to being due. Lastly, on a more positive note. Murray will not go to Cardiff. He turned down Man City to stay after all. I met him recently and he said it was all about playing opportunities and being well cared for by the club. Are Cardiff, with their new-found millions and ambition, going to want a side full of promising teenagers? Unlikely.
You want good news NZ? I think it is fair to say that we are all relieved to find that you are surviving and have an internet connection today.
Look at what mm said when he was a apointed- he signed a new contract after takeover so no excuses blaming new owners. However lets see how he does with egoes and money rather than honest pros kids and the best d Striker in the division
not really mate, he's moving to a club with a higher budget, higher average league positions in the past few years, new stadium / training facilities etc. what sort of average crowd do you get at vicarage road? we regularly get 23000+. i take exeption from you saying he would only move here for the money. yes we will offer him more than what he's currently on, but to suggest it is a sidewards step for him is ridiculous really. people said that about owen coyle with burnley and bolton, but where are those 2 clubs now?
didnt ian holloway achieve what you said above? wheres he now? in this day and age fans have to accept that players and indeed managers will come and go. for example we had bothroyd and chopra - 2 fans favourites who regularly said they loved the club and the city, enjoyed their football here, and suddenly they're out of the door just like that. i wouldnt call them traitors, but i am certainly p*ssed off that we wont even get a fee for bothroyd, given that he's gone from nothing, to potentially being picked up by a premiership team. at least you get compensation for MM.
How have you got a higher average league position, baring in mind you only got to the championship for the first time in 18 years and came damned close to relegation for a few years. if you dont believe me check this out!!! http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/page/ClubHistory/0,,10335~2318700,00.html Watford however have not been out of the top 2 divisions since 1979 and have been in the premiership twice in those years and a play-off semi-final. http://www.watfordfc.com/page/History/0,,10400~1511046,00.html You tell me who has the highest average league position now!!!!
Facts are incorrect. Rodgers win percentage was a decent 40%+ and MM is only 33% Rodgers took over a team that in the preceding 46 matches would have been relegated if in one season and took us to mid table - Malky kept us there. Don't get me wrong, MM has done well but let's not re-write history just because Rodgers used a bad word - he was very good for us which was why we were angry when he left. Judas (Iscariot) sold himself for money - if Malky goes he is doing the same as unlike Rodgers he has no history with the club he is talking to - and he signed a new contract only a short while ago. If MM stays - I still love him - if he goes he is Judas II
According to the South Wales Rag, Satan “entered Judas (Malky)” before he betrayed the Golden Hornets to the Evil Bluebirds. This infamous member of the Select Four betrayed his club for money alone –One Hundred And Sixty Thousand pieces of cheap metal. Malky arranged a special signal to let the Malaysians know the identity of the players he wants: he would twitter his targets to identify them. This “Judas twitter” led to the pillage of players, and puts Judas Malkarius at number one as the most notorious traitor in human history: Judas was fired shortly after his monumental act of greed.
I would like to share my view: I think what Malky has done is not much worse then what BR did. He recently signed a new contract extension meaning he was happy with what was happening with the club, including Baz. He also hasn't been here long and we are the club that have given him the chance ( what BR did ). MM has shown a distinct lack of love for Watford FC that he states he has in previous articles, interviews etc. I am not at all happy and personally will be booing him when he arrives at The Vic with Cardiff, the only thing he can do now to make me feel a little better is take Dychey with him.
in the past 5 years say. in the past 2 years in particular you've finished 16th and 14th. i think we've finished 4th in successive years (google if you want to check). good luck finding a manager who'd rather be at a club who gives a f*ck about what a club was doing 30 years ago instead of where they have been in the past 2 / 3 years then mate. to quote yet another national newspaper: 'And Mackay has jumped at the chance to move to Wales where he should have a better chance of challenging for promotion.' Thank heavens that saga is over and we can get on with rebuilding. Hopefully GT will have a new manager lined up for next week or a plan at least. Now he's gone its up to the players and staff to prove the club is bigger than the man and carry on overachieving. As to where lie the better opportunities let time tell. I've a warm feeling that Cardiff will be one of the first clubs to crash and burn given the way these Malaysians are making the club so dependent on their input to balance the books. Boxing day would be interesting if Malky is still there but I have a feeling he'll have been sacked by then unless he does manage to prise a fair bit of his support team from the vic and take it with him. Judas 2 yes indeed, now to see what compo we got.....
I wish him every misfortune. He's worked this outside his contract, another unethical snake as far as I'm concerned and falls into the 1% of Scotts I dislike intensely
I think he has personally handled this quite badly and as a result, lost a lot of the goodwill he quite rightly generated here. That is arguably the biggest shame. We did a lot for him (we were the only club toplay him in the Prem - Norwich and West Ham sold once promotion was done; first coaching role etc) and yes he did well for us but it just seems a bit tainted now. Before people say he has gone to better himself Graham went to better himself and played it spot on. All of the events of previous weeks suggest there was contact prior to him being given permission to talk - hence the 'no official approach' remark; the odds at the bookies, all while he was away.
Just listened to him giving an interview. "No one had to sell the job to me. One of the big clubs, new stadium, great training ground, fantastic support." No mention of staff, but he kept going on about the fantastic ones at Watford. Did he have players in mind that he would have to bring in. Yes, he did.
