Our Canadian mounty needs some allowances made for him, he's an olive short of a pizza, take no notice!.......................
If things don't turn out well for Monk 's reign , phil we be the first to turn on him , he's already well versed in it .
Well it was our 10th game in 33 days , Everton ,Chelsea , Villa , ManCity , Man U , Man U again , Tottenham , Birmingham , Fulham and West Ham . We were decimated with injury through most of this period but were starting to get a player or two back , be it unfit . We managed to win our 2 previous games before facing West Ham , which showed we were pulling out of it. West Ham , who have won 4 in a row now , were always going to be a problem , they always are. Most knew we were pulling out of our problems with players returning from injuries and getting fit , especially Huw and the board . It was ditch Laudrup now or we will never get rid of him because things were about to get better. If Huw thought we would have any problems he would have never installed Monk , but Jenkins knew it was all in place so he , cowardly , sacked Laudrup , , was waiting for the right moment and this was his only chance.
Guys like you valley just want the quicky answer without any history leading up , to bad . Thought we looked tired , lot of unfittness amongst players coming back , we always struggle against hoofball teams , lots of great possession , couldn't put our ton of chances away , they put there only chances away . We had a ton more shots than them , we were very unlucky against a team coming on strong after tying Chelsea and won 3 games after us
so will all the fans mate, thats football. last season malky and laudrup were heroes, now you get people saying they're useless 6 months later, fans move on quickly.
Look through my posts, I expected us to be in am g the bottom teams come February but the performance against WHU among others was the final straw. Again, how would you describe our performance against WHU?
It's clear valley , to you and you alike , this all about the "West Ham " game and nothing to do with the firing of Laudrups agent , or the complaining by Huw about spending 12 million on Bony , or nothing to do with playing a ton more games with a small and wounded squad through the Christmas schedule , or players starting to come back from injury to an easing shedule and Huw having to pull the plug on Laudrup because this opportunity may not come again to sack him , and know the team can be run by just about anyone. Shook hands with Laudrup saying all is ok , sack him by e mail , and not let him even say his goodbyes , sickening .I answeredyour question previously , if you don't like it , lump it
1. That prick of an agent deserved the boot for trying to sell one of our players in an underhanded way. 2. It's Laudrup's fault we had a small squad as a few of us on here said at the start of the season we needed at least 3-4 more players in.
It's clear you haven't answered my question about our performance at West Ham, but for the sake of going round in circles I'll leave it at that.
I answered your question on post 67 , if its not the answer you wanted , you know what you can do with it
Looked a lot fitter and stronher against Stoke a week later, a team who also like to hoof the ball. Against WH we were gutless and clueless, not to mention couldn't do a damn thing against a low in confidence 10 man team.
Ask phil how that worked for him lol .There you go again valley , Cardiff and Stoke were 8 and 12 days after the West Ham game Players were already back and getting fit for these games , Huw knew that before he ditched Laudrup , you carry on thinking apples and apples though
All i am going to say is i recognized the difference in laudrups football very early to how we use to play and even though we gave him time to prove his type worked he was losing the battle very rapidly until we were in the dangerous situation of carrying on to certain relegation.... If he had stayed like you wanted then why would he all of a sudden start getting results that he could not do for a whole year. It was never going to happen and we had no choice but to sack him and try something else and what a master stroke by jinx in putting or should i say risking putting monk in charge and what a change of performance we are seeing in a short space of time. Look how we demolished Cardiff, Look how we out played Napoli where it was us who looked the giant side not them, and a few days later we matched liverpool for the most part....Laudrup would have lost everyone of those games easily the way he plays his football but under the "Swansea Way" we showed some true spirit and proper football.....And you would have kept laudrup because he has been the best manager we have ever had.. If he was the best then monk is going to be a super manager in a very short time indeed...
Well up to to Dec 22 dai , he was doing it daiswan . On pace for 47 points after almost half the season , got us into the 2nd round of the Europa , 5th round of the FA Cup. I know you will never acknowledge these FACTS daiswan , how would you refute them. Only a tough shedule starting Dec22 with Everton , Chelsea , Villa ,, three games against various Manchester teams, Spurs , Birmingham , Fulham and West Ham , mired in injury over 33 days got the best of Michael. This period is the only time Laudrup struggled this season and who wouldn't . Laudrup was set up for the sack early in the year when Huw sacked his agent , who helped bring swansea some fantastic transfers , ending in players coming back from injury and ready to go at the Cardiff game , a full 8 days after West Ham so Huw "Took his chance " . Sorry dai , this was never a Laudrup problem , this was a Huw and whoever he plans with story , shameful .
Careful Monty, the thought policeman will issue a ban. These people blow with the wind, Dai and Phil both slgged off the appointment of Rodgers and even hoped he would lose the friendlies we played. He was then slagged off for leaving! I hope Monk carries on winning because his neck is on the line from these 'fans' even though it is quite obvious he is 100% Jack. Whatever they say the time under Laudrup will be considered a golden period, a time to be lived up to. Swans fans will be talking about it for 100 years.
