    So a 0-0, then? <laugh>

Seriously, though, I'd like Suarez and Sturridge to get one each. Suarez because he's not scored for a while, and want him to get as close to Fowler's 28 league goals in a season as possible (what player would deserve it more?); and sturridge because I want him to smash van Nistelrooy's record (10 goals in consecutive league matches, Sturridge currently on 8). And, because I predicted a draw, I'll echo the 2-2 prediction of others.

You've got to hold onto the dream! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Probably a controversial opinion but, this is probably the most likely game left to lose. (Given our unpredictable performance on the road)

We have some tough fixtures at home, but ignoring this past weekend, we usually dominate at home even against top clubs.

That's not to say I expect a perfect record at home. I do expect some draws and maybe a loss or two... however, I see Soton away as our most dangerous tie left.

Utd will see us as their cup final this year and be up for a fight, but I don't see their defense dealing with us.

Beat Soton away and it will be a good omen in our quest to move upwards.

Hi everyone, just thought I'd pop across and say hello, nice to see you lot have your pre match day thread up and running already! Just thought I'd give you a little bit of info on team news etc. Pochettino has a fully fit squad (bar Hooiveld) to choose from, with Lovren and Ramirez back last week. I think you will see a lineup along the lines of:

    Boruc
    Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw
    Wanyama Schneiderlin
    Lallana Davis Rodriguez
    Lambert

Best of luck for the rest of the season (bar Saturday of course!) guys, your team has been one of the most fluent Liverpool sides I've seen in years and I honestly think you have a great chance of winning the title purely down to the amount of goals you score from all over the pitch. Rogers has you playing brilliantly and it really is great to see. Best of luck again, feel free to pop on over to our thread when it's up if you'd like. Thanks.

Thanks, KS. We also wish you the best for the season -- except on Saturday! Like the way Southampton have played this season. Good, proper footballing side with a decent number of British/English players. <cheers>

I'm sure we'll desperately miss Hooiveld's influence on the game... :p

It's nice to see you lot worring about this fixture and also how we won the same fixture last year! I think this game will have lots of goals in it as none of our defences are brilliant, but having Lovren back will be a huge boost. With all our first team players back (assuming Wanyama's available), I think this will be a draw, which I would be very happy with.

Loved the way Liverpool have played this season, and I hope you or Arsenal win the League to show that you don't need to spend big to be successful.

Aye, apart from the fact that they always give us a hard time, I do like they way they play football, long may that continue, just not between 5:30-7:15pm on Saturday <ok>

Just a few stats for everyone:

In our last 12 game, we have conceded 9 clear cut chances. The worrying part is that our opponents have scored 8 out of those 9.

We have conceded 31 clear cut chances all season: 54% is down to our opponents ability while the remaining 46% is because of our own errors. To put it into context, Man City and Chelsea are at 25% because of own errors.

We're the 11th best defensive team in the league. No team in any major league has ever won the league with such a defence (highlighting the importance of having a good defence).

Suarez is going through a dry spell - since Sturridge returned to the team (against Stoke away), Suarez has had 2-3 less clear cut chances per game. The stats show that the team is creating more for Sturridge.

Morning all. Just started a match thread oin our Board so feel free to pop over. Think this has all the makings of a classic and should certainly be a few goals. Head says scoredraw but I'm hoping we can just nick it so 3-2 Saints.

Lambert is gonna have a field day with our centre backs - would love to see Agger and Toure but Skrtel is most likely to start.

Key will be stop long balls/crosses - Cissokho has to start because he is our best defensive full back at the moment and one who actually closes down wingers to stop crosses coming in.

Allen needs to play and I wouldn't be surprised if Coutinho comes off.
