Very true but it not easy because I have the job of my dreams that does not mean my friends will. Arsenal have never won the Champion League in my or the clubs life time such is life sometimes, you got teams like Forest, and Vila who has, look at them today no one knows what tomorrow may bring. Tottenham wining back to back titles.

every supporter of every club just wants their team to ..move forward .

Arsenal , Spurs , Liverpool ...they feel they are THAT close to achieveing something that is eluding them .

With Arsenal , it is getting some tangible reward for their ethos .
For Spurs , i dont know so im just guessing here , but it seems like , some consistency at the higher levels .
For Liverpool , a return to the success that they once were almost guaranteed.

I leave Chelsea and Man Utd out of this because , i honestly believe that their fans are lost .

They have been either spoiled with success and therefore take it for granted , they dont even know what to to say now its gone .

And Chelsea , a club whos owner does whatever he likes , sacks CL winning managers , sacks managers for coming second in the league , buys players willy nilly , sells them , buys them back , play in a really boring way , have a manager that every other football fan CANT WAIT to fail so they can kick him .

You should be thankful that you support Spurs / Liverpool / Arsenal ......

we still have hope , what the fuck do they have ?

    Nothing.

Why do we keep losing to Norwich?? they seem to be the new bogey side, since their return to top flight, in 7 games we've beat them twice, scraped a draw, that in itself is not good enough.

Rose should not be lambasted for out of position. If a team is to use fullbacks for width you cannot chastise them for being up the pitch when team-mate loses possession easily. It happens in every other team with the same tactic, difference there is the deep midfielders and remaining defenders should arrange themselves to cover the space he leaves. Rose hardly gets exposed at all when Sandro plays, because he covers him, Bentaleb is not doing this enough and doesn't work as well with MD and Pauli in this respect, the gaps in front of the CB's was appalling yesterday, particularly for their goal once NB was dispossessed. Pauli was shocking, once lost, did not look over his shoulder, and when the danger ran past him Hooper/Snodgrass, he made no effort to track back, just watched.

If JV, Pauli and Lloris are still here next season I will be amazed, they look utterly disillusioned.....as do I. :(

My patience is already wearing thin with Spurs and football in general. If we sell of our brightest and best that could be it for me.

Except Vertonghen (in particular) would not be a miss. And if Paulinho is going to play like he did yesterday, then he can go too.

They might be underperforming but they're international/world (Lloris) class players and selling them just outlines that we have no ambition and says to the rest of the squad "get good and get a move"

What annoys me most about the formation, or lack of more to the point when our FB's get forward, is that our fukin captain, who can see it all in front him and is not bawling his head off at his mids for not covering....can you see John Terry leaving it like that? Daws for all his plusses is slow and cannot read a game.

If it were a one-off then I would agree, but Rose gets consistently caught out of position, often because he makes the wrong call as to when to commit forward. He is Lso prone to diving in around the half way line.
Appreciate that a FB's role has to be forward-thinking, but I think he still needs to be a defender first and get that part of his game right. At the moment that is just not the case.
(And Naughton conversely adds no forward momentum whatsoever - and still can't get the defending bit right!! <steam> )

Dani Alves is more forward thinking and is considered a great defender still, even though he isn't really, his teammates don't leave him exposed. He plays no different to Rose (he's better at it obviously) but the characteristic of his game is similar. The fact Rose is an ex winger should alert his teammates to his tendency....or am I expecting too much of them there? <whistle>

They look disillusioned as they are at a club stuck in a cycle of misdirection from the top. We buy or develop great players and then sell them. We sack managers who deliver relative success, then replace them with managers to take us in "new directions" only to sack them shortly after if instant success is not delivered, then replace them with a youth team coach who doesn't have a full set of coaching badges and is having his tactical naivety and inexperienced exposed when we most desperately need leadership, knowledge and experience.

Imagine being led by hierarchy like that? You'd be disillusioned too and you can guarantee there'll be more changes in the summer. It's getting ridiculous now.

  17. Based on the abject performances from Daws and Verts yesterday, not to mention Paulinho, I think we have an answer to that one....

Disgraceful performance, a complete 180 to what we saw at Newcastle.

No effort, constantly giving the ball away, getting skinned too easily and if it weren't for Lloris, Norwich would have had 3 or 4 which wouldn't have flattered them.

Rose, Naughton, Vertonghen and Dawson were dreadful, Bentaleb and Paulinho probably even worse, Lennon needs to give himself a kick up the arse as his performances of late have been nothing better than **** but the team as a whole should be ashamed of the performance they gave.

LOLdado came on and again shot wide from a about 10 yards out, honestly, this guy is a complete bozo. Some people on my Twitter are still claiming "we don't play to his strengths" and in some respects they're right, as we don't win enough penalties. Giving him open goals, easy opportunities, through balls and crosses clearly aren't the type of service he feeds on... I'm at a stage now where I'd rather Harry Kane be given more opportunities as he really cannot do any worse than this waste of money.

And why was Eriksen left on the bench, does anyone know? I'd have thought that he may have started as he only got about 20 mins off the bench against Dnipro yet yesterday, when we were desperately craving some sort of creative spark, Tim sticks with his bum-buddy Bentaleb for the whole 90 who done absolute jack ****. Referring back to Twitter again, someone said Eriksen may have been carrying a knock but then if he's injured why name him in the squad if there's no intention of using him? Makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Overall a very dismal day, credit to Norwich as they were really good but not having our first shot on target 'til about 80 mins is a disgrace from a team as talented as ours. That result not only hurt but it's also giving us a mountain to climb now if we're to catch Liverpool (which was looking highly unlikely anyway due to their form).

I though Lennon was the only one to come out with credit, never gave up trying and some of his defensive work was better than the back 4

Made one tackle of note that I can remember. Offered nothing going forward, all of his crosses went over to the other side.
