A goalless draw against Middlesborough did no favours for either side at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.

You will recall that McDermotts orders were to go all darlek against our North East rivals.

Instead, we saw no shots on target...

I'm just glad that McDermott didn't say 'sit back' or 'play defensively'!!!

The forward line saw Ross accompanied up front by prolific non scoring Hunt, and he didn't disappoint!!!

The gaffer waited until eight minutes from the final whistle to make his only substitution of the game bringing Matt Smith on for the final few minutes.

If we compare substitutions against Boro, they made all three. In the 67, 72 and 77th minute. Give them their due at leasrt they tried to change the game!!!

The only saving grace in the match was our new on loan keeper. Butland made a series of fine saves to keep us in the game. Shame we didn't have him at the begining of the season. The odd saved goal here and there could have been worth a play off spot!!!

In percentage terms, how far are we behind McDermott?

Morning Elland and all. I've already expressed my view on the shambles that was Saturdays match and that bunch some loosely refer to as a team. Suffice, for me, the sooner this season is at an end the better. Unfortunately, this time last year, I was saying the same. But land was terrific. So frustrating though we can now only aspire to loaning quality like him. Hopefully this turns out to be takeover week

Morning Eire, something tells me that the football league's decision will come the day after the emergency transfer window closes

With the squad we have and the so-called best manager for our club, we should be bettter than this. I think it may be time for BMcD to go. Since November when we were 5th, we have slumped big time and the only game we gave a good account of ourselves since then BMcD wasn't at the game. Most disappointing season for years, and I accept that GFH, Haigh, Flowers etc have made things worse behind the scenes, but this style of football, this non attacking football, this hoofball, this lack of being able to hold the ball, just demonstrate that we're garbage.

If Cellino isn't given FL approval expect the Italian to take the FL to court for defamation of character and he will win, so I expect the FL to ratify later this week.

If I were Cagliari, I'd be a bit upset. There they are drawing 1-1 at the San Siro, and having more then their fair share, and there we are unable to string a few passes or managing a shot on target!!!

Sooner the takeover is done the better. We all need to get behind Cellino, and show support, until he gives us reason not to.

I agree. Unfortunately as soon as he dismisses McD, there will be a backlash from a certain section that seem to believe he is irreplaceable. Therefore, won't be too long until fans are divided again

If he had just waited he would have got away with sacking him once the deal is complete but think he's shot himself in the foot tbh.

seriously is Bmac doing any different to Warnock?

Bringing in his mates, poor signings, poor football its only cos he is nice that we aren't jumping on his back.

#Doit4Redders will be round again soon

Did anyone actually think Hunt did quite well? I actually did, don't think anyone has mentioned it so I'm probably in the minority.

Our game style didn't suit him one bit and it also didn't help that both our wingers and central midfield supplied nothing but Hunt's control particularly I thought was excellent as well as his movement and odd link-up that someone else managed with him. He really showed his jump as well, winning more than he should've in the air against bigger centre backs.

He did miles better than Ross did with the service they both got.

    Morning all <ok>

Good points Kissa, and I'm starting to agree with those who say BMDs days may be numbered. It's difficult because I agree totally with his principles of building slowly over a few seasons rather than throwing money at a short term goal, but the performances in the meantime still need to shape up and his signings need to step up. I'm encouraged to hear that Hunt wasn't awful though!

The problem on Saturday was that 'Boro were playing for a draw from the first moment. They were happy to play the ball around knowing that without it, we couldn't score. The midfield didn't have a good game, and both Stewart and Kebe's passing & ball control were woeful in the first half.

One would hope that BMD's talk with the squad after the game was suitably hairdryerish!!! If it wasn't and things don't change, top 6 will disappear and we might get a new Manager in who will then take time to create a team in hs image....something that probably wouldn't help us.

Tim will tell Eire, time will tell.

Only good thing about Saturday was the Sweet Chariot swinging low & flattening the Leprechaun

It already has done Boggers. Great rugby game even though Im not a huge fan of it. Maybe some of the overpaid twats at football clubs should be made look at some rugby videos. Lessons in commitment and respect for referees to be learned

But we are divided<ok> I don't like this Cellino person and I don't want him. If he will run Leeds as he did Cagliari then that will not be good for Leeds<ok>

But you see a lot of Leeds fans want a quick fix and Cellino want a quick fix to. So we just have to get use to a new coach every 6'th month<ok>
