Lee Tomlin signs three-and-a-half year contract with Middlesbrough after making his loan deal from Peterborough United permanent.
Seven points (and a mountain of goal differential) back now, with a game in hand...they're staring the playoffs in the face now, and Derby/Forest/one of Reading or Wigan would make for a pretty difficult road back up.
Yes, seen that. Gives a little cheeriness on a bad day. The wife is happy though... she is a Wigan fan.
Leicester are up, Burnley are looking good too, neither have lost a game in their last 10. I really hope Burnley make it, they could do with the PL payday more than most in that top 6.
They made their bed; I see little to be gained from sacking him now. But one thing should be clear: even if he gets them up, Fernandes needs to show Harry the door in the summer. He isn't a saviour...he's a man who will spend a fortune and get nothing more than average results.
I wouldn't often say this, but I think they would actually benefit from sacking the guy in February. He's always been a shirker, but he seems to not give a damn at Qpr, one last pay off maybe?
Have to say that I thought he'd leave before the season even started...voluntarily if not fired. I know that QPR have an expensive squad...but anyone who thinks their team is nailed on for an immediate return to the PL is deluding themselves. That's a tough league with a lot of good sides...many of whom have failed and failed again to get promotion. We were relegated with a decent side...thanks to the same manager, strangely enough We were so lucky to get a double promotion (thank you NC and NA)....wouldn't have wanted to hang around for another season.
