That was one of the most disappointing aspects of yesterday for me. It came across loud and clear over the stream how supportive the R's fans were, it must've been some of the most vocal away support of the season. Yet the players didn't appear energised by it...or even conscious of it. They looked tentative, lacking confidence, unsure.
Thanks Stan...It was what i was listening to at the time and iv'e always loved Morrisey's lyrical and somewhat warped genius
De Nile isn't just a river in Egypt. Our luck has run out. We have been playing crap for most of the season.
Im not usually negative and I see all the reasons for Harry staying but we will not be in the play offs if he does, We havent played flowing football all year and having 67% possession yesterday and one shot on target says it all!!! I think our position was false 3 months ago when we were top and scraping 1 nils. I for one will always support the team but have not enjoyed this year after the debacle of last year. He hates youth but now seems to hate pace as well and our football is too lethargic and slow. If he stays I hope he proves me wrong but dont think his heart is in it now and he may be looking for his usual excuses already.
Respect 9's. I do not go to many away games so can only comment about HQ (most home games). Sometimes it is very quiet indeed.
Neither do I RTID, I was really looking forward to yesterday, beers in the O2 before the game with a great crowd but the team sadly let us down. I'm going to Brighton as well though. I think the team need to add some thrills and spills to wake up the home crowd.
If you know nothing about each horse then yes of course. What other odds could you give? (Or is it 9/1 ??) We can't start adding in all the variables for this season yet because we don't know which teams will be in the competition so as stands, a team qualifying for the Playoffs has a one in four chance of success. Its the same at the beginning of every season and it will be the same next year too. Every Club knows before a ball has even been kicked that should they finish in positions 3-6, they have a 1 in 4 chance of going up. But if you did want to go down that road right now without even knowing which teams will be there, considering current form, results against other top 6 sides etc, we'd possibly have even less than 25% chance, IE the other three Clubs would fancy themselves as having a better chance. However, like I said, we can't start talking about all that yet as there's fifteen games to go. Know what I'm sayin' Staines?
i well remember the game Ale got injured, was sat in front of you RTID, you got me the ticket! We deserved to win that day and we will win again and again before the season is over. Look at West Ham, all was doom and gloom, Allardyce out, now they've won 4 on the spin. The last time we went up we stumbled over the line, this time we're going to come roaring back, playing our best football in the last part of the season! I can dream!
What are your plans for Brighton mate ??? Are there tickets left ?? I might fancy that if i can sort my shifts out.
Utter tosh and bollox again Swords.....You simply cannot fail to take in variables and well you know it. Next you'll be telling me that if Barcelona play Accrington Stanley they both have a 50% chance of winning. Please tell me you wouldnt say that Swords, please mate. Today you have really disapointed me bruv, I usually enjoy your posts, but todays have quite simply been.....stupid.
I know Nines and Sooper said my post was not necessary because it was stating the bleeding obvious but my instincts were right, as I knew there was resistance on here to that simple fact. Some folk would rather believe certain things to make themselves feel better rather than look the truth square in the eye. That's the way it is Stainsey boy. You're gonna have to wrap your head around it before the end of the season so you don't set your hopes too high.
There's 620 tickets left out of an allocation of 1,584. Not too sure whether to drive down or get the train yet mate. I'll see what everyone else is doing and take it from there.
I'd be interested in going to that one. I'd be driving down in a 7-seater and would be happy to take some of you lot with me if a couple of meeting points could be arranged, it's more flexible than being tied to train times...
I reiterate my opinion Swords......Utter tosh and bollox from you . I can only assume the others were pandering to your somewhat silly ideas. You've let yourself down badly today. Shame on you.
Let me try and sort out some shift swapping and I'll let you know, might bring the boys with me if they get out of college early enough.
