Europa League - Do you want it?

Someone Man United "fan" on the beeb website said that he would prefer United finished outside the top 6 so that you do not qualify for the Europa League?
Is this attitude something the majority share? Was just wondering?
Seems odd he would not want his team to do well so they can finish 7th!!

So, is the Europa League worth having a crack at or would it be an unwanted distraction?
Bare in mind that next years Europa League winners will qualify for the Champions League too.

We shouldn't be looking at the Europa ****e as a way into Europe.

Though obviously I want us to finish as high up the table as possible.

 

I'd prefer EL to nothing.

Can't think of a single season when we've struggled to balance Europe and the league. If worst comes to worst we can always do what we did in 2012 and sack the EL off to focus on the PL. We certainly have the depth to handle both at once, it's the top end quality we're missing right now.

The only caveat to that is that I wouldn't want the manager next season doing a Benitez and completely sacking off the league just to chase the EL. League always first, EL is just a nice extra on top.

 

Can only see you guys getting humiliated in europe should you make It. Whipping boys for sure.

Its probably in your interests to finish 5th for your own sake.

Are you having a laugh. The club doesn't want to get in that way?, as in qualify for a tourney that brings in 10s of millions of £££. I think you banged your head or something cos if you offered that to Moyes and the Club right now they'd bite your f**king arm off

Obviously the league is priority but if that fails you have a 2nd chance, wtf is wrong with that?

I think it's stupid that you qualify after winning it. it starts at the start of a season if you don't make it you don't make it. Winning it is enough reward for winning it, that and all the cash from playing in the tourney.

 

Thhere isnt much cash in Europa though is there?
