Does anyone think we may be suffering from having a small squad of decent players, and a lot of dross elsewhere in the squad. We looked tired today, especially Suarez & Coutinho. Moses was a prime example of having no depth to the squad he was useless when he came on. Him coming on was the equivalent of having a man sent off! I know we score a lot of goals, but what would you rather have high scoring draws or regular 1-0 wins.
Allen was very influential when he came on. Great game. Henderson looked a little tired, but still played well and grabbed important goals. If he can continue to get goals then he is going to be continue to be a fantastic player for Liverpool. The fact that even with SAS he is one of the stand out performers of the season is very encouraging for him and Liverpool.
You mean the genuine penalty, and the dirty free kick both by your man skrtle, that am not even sure 90% of Liverpool fans could disagree with, but there is always the one
Think he's lost a bit of confidence in front of goal since he was moved out to the left to accommodate Sturridge coming back. They switch it up but Suarez offers much more than Sturridge when he's the deeper/wider player and so seems to spend more time there than up front.
If you heard it from the lfctv commentry dont read too much into it. They said soooo many things wrong it turned into a running joke down the pub today.
Teams are marking him out of any decent chances, he only gets long range or half chances ATM. Same will happen to Sturridge soon, good thing is teams can't mark both if them so when one gets out marked we have the other one free.
Don't think many of us would disagree with you about the sides we've got to face, but don't get the impression anyone thinks it's going to be easy anyway. Kinda seems like you're trying to rain on a parade that hadn't started.
We must be contenders if we're all quite rightly slating a game we won by scoring 4 goals lol. I'll reserve judgement until Sakho returns but I believe Agger is history. He's weak, Skerts is limited with too much to do as is Toure but Agger is weak. Midfield needs another option as we know. Coutinho needs to learn that effort every other match is not good enough if you want to be world class. Johnson needs put down. Good that we won though
Most are sensible enough to realise top 4 isnt certain. Spurs will push you all the way, regardless of how some view spurs. With the run in you have and the defence you lack I expect a few more 7 goal thrillers tbh. I also reckon you will struggle next season. Juggling europe and the league without substantial investment in defence is going to be very tough.
Completely agree RE defence. Need a new right back, centre back to partner Sakho and a back for them. Also a world class defensive mid. Johnson, Agger and Skrts all have to go if we are to take the next step. May have to keep Agger for back up.
