That was painful again. Similar to the Fulham game, although I think Swansea played pretty well, shouldn't blame us entirely, it does a discredit to Swansea who were very good at times.
Thank **** for that. It's not just the 3 points, but it's also the pressure we've just put on Spurs who are away from home. Them knowing they need to win to keep up just adds that little bit extra to their game.
The biggest question I have from that is "WTF is up with Suarez?" He's doing the running and putting the effort in, even creating things but his shooting is woeful at best ATM.
Well we're still winning game even with obvious flaws and mistakes. Hopefully we can try and reduce them for the remaining games and make them easier for us to watch *It must be quite demotivating for Spurs to keep seeing us nick it!
Allen was the right change, he did well. Think Coutinho should've been the one to come off he was anonymous, especially in the second half.
6 points (7 points if we look at goal difference) ahead of Spurs, 11 points (12 points with GD) ahead of Everton & Man Utd. Poor performance but its another 3 points and 1 step closer to getting CL football next season.
Great game lads, Allen made a difference when he came on. Good luck in the hunt for top 4/ title chase
Raggy against a side who played a european game midweek. 3 points though in your quest for 4th. However, any of you who think it will be easy need to look at the fire power you have to face with that defence. Certainly going to need all your attackers on song because I wouldnt be surprised of you fail to keep a single clean sheet again this season.
Didn't watch the game, just heard it. Who cares how we played in the end, we won. Again. Previous years we would have lost playing badly. Onwards and upwards!
Rodgers saved his arse with Allen. Very disappointing that we relapsed to our Villa game form. Since Villa we had kept the wobbly show for the road only.
get your point, but just hope its while we are still wining games somehow, and he finds his form (ie shooting boots) again before season ends.
Not a great surprise Agger and Skrtel have been playing together for years now and never been a successful partnership. Problem is neither attack the ball in the air and both have mistakes in them. Hopefully Sakho os back for the next game
Didn't see Soton at home, so I have to say that they're by far the best team to play at Anfield. Was Skrtel paying for all the shirt pulls he's got away with? Didn't look like a free kick for their second either. But three points, as with the Fulham game. If we do get CL football, we've got to do something with that defence. The full backs were dire (Flanno's worst game, for sure), and the centre-backs were clueless against Bony, just as they were against Lukaku at Goodison.
