I was on Taxi duty for my daughter at 2.30am this morning
it's the lack of sleep that does me

 

Lack of sleep is no good for anybody, it would be much better to give her a few £'s and let her get a taxi home wouldn't it?

 

I know what you mean, but I'd rather pick her up than her having to wait in a queue for ages
it's what dads do

 

Better to be safe than sorry, I guess there's a lot of drunks waiting for taxis late at night too.

Still, at least Colo, Tiote and Remy are back. Surprised he's gone 442 with Cisse ahead of De Jong.

 

Would rather see Cisse and De Jong but I assume its because De Jong has hardly played for the last season and is being slightly rested?!

 

No Armstrong, no Sammy, back to 4-4-2, the most limited manager in the history of Newcastle United strikes again. The man only gets results when hard work is required and a firsst XI is available. Pi$$ poor.

 

Oh and what does Haidara have to do to get a game?

 

Having Shola on the bench ahead of Armstrong is mindboggling given that we need to be blooding the possible future players of this club now.

Villa are playing an attacking side. They'll fancy their chances, and why shouldn't they?

I'm finding it difficult to get up for today's game, and be optimistic about it. I guess it's a mix of our current position and the recent heavy home defeats, which has left me open to all kinds of possibilities for further embarrassment.

 

Theres a very sombre mood inside the stadium. Like people are waiting for some bad news from the doctor.

PS-my 9 year old daughter just asked me if we can go to see Fenwicks window... No I didn't continue the conversation.

I think many of us are feeling apprehensive about today. You like to think it can't get any worse, but the club always love to find new ways of surprising us.

It is really frustrating that we are not seeing Armstrong on the bench. Sammy doesn't deserve to miss out either. Filling up the bench with Gosling and Shola who offer nothing and have no future seems utterly pointless and a wasted opportunity. Pards still isn't in the Souness/Allardyce class though - got to keep perspective and remember he has managed to get us playing decent football in spells...

 

It's unfathomable, mate. Dan fcking Gosling ahead of Sammy?? Why? Sissoko can play CM, so if we went 3 in the middle or had to replace someone we have the option, then Gouffran wide and Sammy wide.

Fully dropping Ben Arfa, I dunno, maybe right, but smacks of limitations again. He did this with Tevez, Mascherano - it just fills me with hopelessness.

 

And what "if" Cisse's sh!t again? Shola on? Beggars belief.

 

This is fast going to **** after a positive start. I notice Dummett tucks in far too much, and Debuchy seems to be getting overwhelmed on the right. Villa should be ahead.

 

Do we have a tactic? Can someone tell me what it is??? All I can see is that we're aiming for 0-0.
