I think michu is still a bigger threat than Pablo but what they both give us is a plan A,B,C

    A.)

High tempo against teams that struggle to close us down.

    Dyer...Hernandez...Routlage
    .................Bony....................

    B.)

Physical sides or top 6 teams

    Dyer.......Michu.....Hernandez
    ...............Bony........................

    C.)

    Rest/cover for Bony

    Dyer..........Hernandez.......Routlage
    ......................Michu......................,,,

He just gives us so many options, and has been massively missed this season.

yes i think Michu is better but he has to be match fit and that is a level higher than just being fit and starting to train full time, Maybe a run out with the reserves is in order first. We can only trust monk on this i think..

So why is the Russian transfer window different to any other country? Their teams play in Europa League and Champions League so surely they have to play by the same rules as all the other European countries?

I'm only guessing but as long as no player is COMING into the Premier , players can leave as long as its out of the country but not to the premie.r

    :bandit:

I think every (sane) swans fan will think that Liverpool are the favorites for this one. But underestimate us at your peril because we will be well up for it after the performance of Thursday.

I think if Liverpool are at their best it could be a 3-1 win for them.

But if you underestimate us we could grab some points.

Ps how's Toure looking for this one?

Agger was back for the last game, so it will be him and Skrtel at the back. I have gone for a pool 3-2 win think it might be tighter than some of us think.
You might cause us a few problems down the flanks

Bugger!! I think it's going to be a good game, we tend to do well against teams that come out at us, but mr Rodgers knows us well especially now under Monk.

We expect to win. And have been flying at home this season, if you play a full team think it will be a cracking game that we might just take. If you make a lot of changes we might win it with a bit to spare.

Tough choice really because I don't think a loss to Liverpool is going to really define your season. The next three games after this one are much more vital in my opinion

It will be a huge shock if the result is anything other than a win for Liverpool, but after the Napoli performance we have renewed optimism.

Bit of a coincidence that we are away to Liverpool the week before the Capital One Cup final huh ?

    Team for today

Vorm, Rangel, Chico, Williams (C), Taylor, Britton, de Guzman, Shelvey, Dyer, Routledge, Bony.

SUBS: Tremmel, Amat, Tiendalli, Canas, Hernandez, Emnes, Ngog.

Has Davies got an injury? As surprised he is not on the bench

Haven't read this thread yet so sorry if this point has already been gone over but the way I see it is that it's not that they can't....I'm sure they could play every day (I'm sure we all could)....and as they're fit young men I'm sure they would play to a good standard every day of the week.
To me it's about how fresh you are compared to your rivals.
If we've played 2 games and then play against another team who are closely matched (who have only played once) then they will be...ever so slightly fresher...and this factor might effect the performance levels of both sides 5 % (which results in a 10 % swing in the other team's favour). A disadvantage.

On MOTD just now someone mentioned that 5 out of 7 Spurs' losses came the weekend after the Europa League...coincidence?
(get where you're coming from though)

If we go for it against Napoli also I just pray we have enough in the tank to beat Palace....I would have sacrificed today as I want the first team to go for it and put in big performances at Napoli and at home v Palace.

Laudrup played a ton of top teams over the holidays , and he played them with injuries with close games , and no one would acknowledge it . Now Monk faces Liverpool and out steps phil to announce how great we lost to a "top Team " , lol . How bout one post on any thread phil , that doesn't have a knife in Laudrups back or a nose up Monks arse. You too dai , give it a go .

Rubbish. Why do you have to lie all the time?

There were plenty of people (including myself) defending Laudrup.

I'm talking about the people , like phil , who complained about Laudrup losing to big teams regardless of reason Shakespeare. Then they are all happy with our loss to Liverpool with Monk in charge beause we played reasonable. We played reasonable against Man City , but does Laudrup get a pat on the back , no. Your like a piece of **** paper stuck to a shoe sometimes uzi .
