Could have gone the other way but we just about deserved it. A case of luck coming because we kept on going. Reckon Oscar could have been rested, injured or not ,he looks knackered at the moment, and Hazard is looking a tad jaded as well. Hope they lift for Galatasary, and then get a spell.
Rather fortuitous - home advantage and a relentless spirit finally got us over the line. Comments on Torres "Sunday stroll" make interesting reading; have to agree that someone like Schurlle would have a greater impact than goalless Torres. As the pressure intensifies Mourinho will be forced to make more use of the resources at his disposal if we're to end up top of the heap.
'Relentless spirit' isn't what got you over the line. It was that diving little snide Ramires cheating that was the difference ffs.
Behave yourself If you knew anything about the game you'd have seen Jagielka simply plant his foot & Ramires (having overrun the ball) simply move his leg into him to create the contact. He's got previous for it, the diving snide
Jagielka first puts his foot out then leans in with his knee and Ramires trips over it as he tries to run past him. That's a foul. If a player moves in front of a running player and impedes him do you say that he was standing his ground and the other player ran into him? No because he's played the man and hence it's a foul. If he doesn't want to give away a free-kick then he shouldn't put his foot out like he did to trip players up Now that I've cleared that up for you I suggest you work on your attitude.
Absolute ****e that, Ramires created the contact & therefore conned the referee, same as he's done a few times this season, most notably vs WBA. Oh & save the patronising tone you donut
Jagielka gets nothing of the ball and enough of the man. Why else is he putting his leg out if not to trip the player up? It's as if you read none of the explanation I gave you because you're so unwilling to hear that it's anything other than a dive. It was a stupid challenge and it went toward costing his team a point. If you want to be angry with someone for that goal, it should be Jagielka. I gave you some advice for your own benefit. Instead of throwing it back in my face try taking it otherwise people will get fed up with you and you won't last that long on what is otherwise a very patient board.
Clear a foul as you will ever see. Not a shadow of a doubt. the only surprise was the ref actually giving it us as he was clearly with Everton all game. Shocking performance from him.
Remires created the contact? What complete and utter bollocks. He may have gone down easily, but it's a foul any day of the week.
Ultimately the games at SB and Goodison should probably have both been draws so we are both a point better off.
You looked good for a point on Sat and we seemed to struggle against you, but I feel Ramires has been given far too much stick for what happened. Seen them given for a lot worse! Suppose it feels worse on your part because of how late in the day it was.
We lacked a cutting edge. I thought we generally played the better football, but were unconvincing in front of goal. Howard's double save looked like it had earned us a point, until the incident at the death (I still think Ramires bought it, but it was a clever one). It effectively ruled us out of any real contention for a CL spot, so it was a bad defeat for us.
